Well, I am starting this grow about 2 months early. I only have plans to do 2 plants right now. But may sneak one into the 4x4 tent if these look like they will veg long enough. They will get about a 2 month veg before they ever see the grow room.
This will be a simple grow.
A Green love potion photo
and a White widow photo
Each will get grown in a 4x4 scrog. Three 260 lights and a pair of 135s
Coco, Tribus, Jack’s and silica
These will go into 7 or 10 gallon soft pots and top fed.
And with a little luck. One will show me the elusive lb
To start off with. Both of these were put into rooters and then onto the coco mats. This is the first time I have tried this with the only top feed being when the rooter was put in the promix. After that. These only get fed from the tray. It works out great.
Here both are at week one. Viparspectra led at 45w and 1 gallon nursery bags
So at 1 week you only give them 45…what distance? Im afraid ive been trying to burn them up now. When do you start uping the watts? Thanks for the tag!
@Nubie419plus1 I am at about 15" off the plant starting. I run the lights a little closer so I can run less watts. Normally by day 7. These are in final pots. I then veg at 60w and 19" How you would do yours kind of depends on how much stretch you want. I use scrogs. So I want these to stretch a bit more early to get to the net. When I hit pre flower. I run 100w and then 13w for flower per plant. These will do just a well with a 20w light. I used these lights for a while. The down side is they only cover a small area and need to be kept closer. But do work great
I am currently using this light. I have 2 but only use one unless more area is needed to cover. If you ever get one of these lights. wait till you see the price at 59.00 It changes prices up and down almost daily.
I’m surprised more folks don’t use those nursery bags. Especially for starting auto’s to eliminate transplant shock. The roots grow through the bag like it’s not even there on up-pot correct?
Just ordered a HLG 300L R. Going to use the little vivosun VS1000 for seedlings and veg. Trying to do a perpetual grow. But wish i had seen these first, way easier on the wallet!!
@CC_Mo you are right. These let me get into a final pot sooner with out a slow down. Not that I really saw things slow down in a solo cup. This is just easier. Grab the bag, drop it in the pot. Trim up the unfilled part and I am off to the races. @Deepsix I give you a 50/50 chance of being right. How ever. Our weather will decide that. It is getting warm. With a few plants. It is easier on me. And I can use the money I save, for using my A/C more. I would have room for 2 quick plants. I think 2 big plants should keep me busy. There is still a chance a Sour Diesel could make it into the closet. I have a feeling I am looking at a long veg period here.
@Nubie419plus1 I didn’t notice my link was for one I got for a friend. I have these little 600s. 90w actual.
I must have just saw the picture and forgot I got him the 1000 and 1500
I thought I would share a link if any one may be interested. I had been looking for a 3x3 or 4x4 pad that I could set up with an aquavalve to make one big autopot. Or maybe you just want a pan to make sure you have no accidents in the tent. I received one of these. And just ordered another. I have not found a big pan like this for under 100. This is 40.00 shipped. I plan on filling it with 1 gallon pots and tray a sog. A few grows out still. But I will have these ready for it. I received the first pan a lot faster than what they advertised also. So @dbrn32@Myfriendis410@Covertgrower@MattyBear One day I will get a tent full of different strains also
Oh, the inside diameter of the pan is 36" x 36". I will re measure the out side diameter but I think it was 42" in case some one wanted this for a 3x3 tent. I don’t want to mislead you. I will be using this in a 4x4 area.
The sides on this seem awfully short to try and float a constant bottom feed. I think it would be fine to catch runoff though. I would rather see you just go one and done with an ebb & flow table buddy.
Set to tag along very nice . I cut back to 3 plants in a 4x4 I think spreading limbs out enough to produce the same amount as 4 plants in a 4x4 space. Time will tell. Good luck
@dbrn32 It is shorter than I would like. But my trays only fill to an inch height. I had looked at that with Alan before. I am still trying to find that right set up. I will have to give you a call to better explain with out spending the morning typing here There is a good reason for thinking like this though. I could work out a progressive grow and harvest about once every three weeks. I can do 4 in an open rm in a 4x4 space @kellydans I can’t do more than 2 in a 4x4 tent though. The biggest issue once I pass the light issue is the humidity issue and ability to do much trimming. Mostly an auto problem. I can keep photos workable. It is good to see you here
Yes , same here good to touch base with you. For some reason in my area Verizon phone service has went to crap so I can only use my phone when I’m not home. I’m about ready to go A different route.
That sucks @kellydans here verizon has the best coverage. Thanks @MattyBear Any chance you might remember about how long the SRP flowered. I may be able to start a mother plant in this grow. It would be the third plant My brain has been playing checkers on how to fit all the pieces together lol
