Grimmy’s Goodtime Grows

My God man…This plant is so freaking dense. Gonna take me forever to get her opened up.

This is about 5 mins into a very overdue haircut.

Ok I think I’m gonna call this good enough. Now to let her recover for a week before I flip her to flower.

It’s time…I cannot for the life of me remember how long this plant has been in veg but it seems like forever.
Edit… I went back and looked in my journal. January 4th she was still in her little solo cup. Yeah over 3 months is plenty long for veg.

What’s up bro, I been away for some time. I use
“Y” filters like you’d use in gardening/irrigation.

Love the posts! Plants, water treatment, food!!!

Flipped Cherry Garcia to flower yesterday. Not going to take any clones from her. It’s a shame because I love her structure, but it took so dang long to even hit two feet tall. Onto the next endeavor which is ILGM Super Skunk.

Man I’m on the struggle bus with this air cube system. What was supposed to make my growing life easier has been a constant struggle. Today the float sensor decided it didn’t want to work and my entire room flooded.

It also isn’t “air pruning” like it claims to do. I am not sure if it’s something I’m doing wrong or if it just doesn’t do what it claims to do. I pulled and chopped a plant today that had 3-4 inches of roots attached and coming out the bottom of the fabric pot.

All of this is frustrating because of the time I spent building this room to grow on the floor and now I’m thinking about just going back to my good old table set up. Problem is that would require purchasing 2 more tables to fill my area and I would also lose about a foot of head room for flowering.

Man I tell ya 1st world problems have got me down right about now.

Perhaps give a shout out to MeEasy. He has been growing on the floor, in a dedicated room as you are. He uses living soil

@Dman1969 might also be a good person to ask…

@Mntmannw and @AfgVet use air cubes they may be able to help. I use autopots and they are different. :victory_hand::love_you_gesture:

First thing I would check is the check valve in your tubing right inside your reservoir. If that isn’t in the tubing it will cause flooding.
I would also ensure all pumps are connected correctly, I’ve mistakenly plugged the fill pump into the wrong outlet and had flooding.
As far as the roots, I get some on the outside of the fabric pot, but when I harvest its dead roots that’s built up on the bottom, never an issue with me. What is your timer on? I run mine to flood for 15 minutes every 2 hours, it’s when the roots are exposed to air that they are supposed to die off, if for some reason the nutrient mixture isn’t completely draining back to the brain bucket, and roots are staying in water then they won’t die off. Ensure its level from brain bucket to air cubes back to brain bucket as its gravity feed. Even going over a tent pole as small as they are will not allow complete drainage.
All I can think of off the top of my head.

I never even thought about the floor leveling that’s probably what it is as far as the root issue. @Mntmannw

Just ordered some 2 inch risers for my system so it will drain back better. Went over there today after work and it was a little lower on the bucket end. Not by much, but there was some. Hopefully this solves my root problems.

My timer goes every 4 hours for 15 mins.

As far as the flooding goes I’m still lost as to why it did it. It hasn’t done it since, so I’m clueless.

Guess I’ll just do some trial and error and see what I can do. Thanks for the help sir!

As far as flooding, the only other things I can think of is; Make sure pots are totally empty before adding water to the reservoir.
A float stuck and didn’t tell the brain that the pots were full.
It has t happened again so maybe it was just a fluke.
