I think that’s right, just was not 100% sure if chemical or stress induced changed things. Probably over thinking. Lol

I’d run them w a close eye. But I have run a few w/o any issues. And yes they should be fem. Found a few on plants I may have let go a lil to long in flower usually on the lowers ![]()
Same here
Whelp first official reservoir change out to Jack’s
Ppm’s 1150…which is a lot higher than I’ve ever gone but I’m having some faith here and running with it.
pH 6.1
Uhhhhh they grew overnight again…Also drank almost 3 gallons of water/nutes.
Ppm’s are 1020 so they’re definitely feeding.
pH spiked to 6.7 which is typical right after a reservoir change.
Any of you guys ever gone above full strength Jacks?
My plants are going through these ppm’s like crazy. Here I was afraid of the 1100+
Just changed res two days ago and they have been eating about 100ppms a day and drinking 2-3 gallons out of the reservoir as well. I mixed up two extra full strength jugs to keep adding in, but man what the heck to do here. Everything is telling me I need to mix stronger…
I think originally my ppms were 1150
Next day they were down to almost 1000 and I added about 3 gallons worth back in which raised it back close to 1100. Today my ppm’s are reading 970.
pH has now stabilized at 6.1-6.2
Should I raise the intensity of my light?
Ppfds are 820 dead center
Yes! You can bump up the jacks if needed
or add another supplement.
They really seem to be enjoying Jacks over general hydroponics and it’s noticeable
Yep, I ran GH nutes for a long time. Jacks is about as simple as it gets and it works wonders.
Not sure on what supplements to add. I think I should just stick out Jacks on its own for now. I don’t wanna get too crazy with creating a formula until I’m comfortable with using this stuff. I do like how simple it was to mix. So much easier than measuring out liquids.
You even use recharge? I was thinking about switching my hydro guard out for it.
I am currently using hydro guard in my reservoir. Recharge is microbes
or a stimulant.? I am simply using fish!t as a microbe.
I dunno what it is exactly. The Jack’s video I watched the guy used it and from what I read and understand is it’s a better version of hydro guard. I mean I could be wrong as the interwebs are full of misinformation.
Good sign of a healthy appetite ![]()

Recharge is beneficial microbes Growmie. Hydroguard or Southern Ag are root inoculants/fungicide. I prefer the Southern Ag for my hydro and only use silica and Jacks 321 without the Epsom in my auto pot reservoirs ![]()
In more detail, Recharge has several sp. of mycorrhizal fungi and several sp. of bacteria that are intended to foster the interface between roots and soil nutes and supporting nutes to get things rolling.
Hydroguard is a culture of bacterial root inoculant that is designed to decompose organic matter, providing nutrients that can taken by plants directly. I use both in an alternating fashion with fertilization.
I’m noticing in coco that I’m in need of silica. Plants are hardening off but feel softer
what silica do you run @OGIncognito. Never needed in super soil. And never ran silica in our GH water farms in the 90’s
first time running a reservoir!
