Hello Fellow Gowmies!!! If any of you thought about growing in a greenhouse, here’s some pics of the project. The Greenhouse is from Harbor Freight 6x8 $379. The pad I built with pressure treated 2x8x16 beams with 2x4 crossbeams held on with deck hangers. Topped with pressure treated plywood. I added fans to relieve some of the heat inside, don’t do nearly enough. I added netting on the front door which helps. Today I’m going to build and add some screening to the 2 center panels for airflow. I’ll post pics after.
Inside we have fem White Window, she’s a big girl; (ordered autos) think they made a mistake. Next fem 5 Alive, and fem Blackberry Moonrocks (look it up, can’t wait). Next we have the twins, autos Strawnanna and Purple Lemonade and finally auto Bruce Banner.
I’ll keep you posted on the progress, waiting in the wings to make their appearance are Granddaddy Purple and Pluto Runtz.
@Chopps wry cool set up!! Do you have any type of saucers under your bags to catch the overflow?? It could help delay how fast the floor lasts for you.
Makes me jealous. My only option now is a tent in my bedroom. Harbor Freight is definitely a growers friend. I got grommet pliers, an IR thermometer and a moisture meter there for less than $40. All of which definitely work well enough for my purposes.
Update: so I made one panel, got enough supplies for four. Turned out pretty good, works, allows a lot of airflow while still protecting the girls from pests. Had a bad Aphid problem last year.
I bought 4 of these round oil drip pans from Advanced Auto for cheap and my risers drop right into them perfectly. They’re deep enough to catch my 10-20% runoff so no messes in my space lol.
I just see your floor wanting to rot out quick with the muddy runoff gathering under your risers.
