@Flitme Grand parents say the wisest things, one of my favorite my grandfather use to tell me “Don’t pick your nose you’ll bruise your brain”.
My farmer grandmother always had us drop copper pennies in the corn rows and said “in with a penny and out with a pound.” Little different take on the phrase we say.
It provided the copper for their corn which they recouped per bushel at sale time.
Im building a 12 x 16 with the panels now.
I would love to have the extra 4’ but I don’t think I’m gonna have that many permanent plants. My veggies will to into raised beds, so I need one wall for starters one wall for the girls and one for bench and water reservoir and tools. I built a “Man Cave” as a germination room and hydro. starter room.

Man cave has AC but only a space heater. 1 window and a 1. car garage door. I also have attic access so thats my drying room. I put a french door between the man cave and “Catio”. So now I have a barn, greenhouse and raised beds for my field. Just call me farmer Mike.
Moved the new work bench into the greenhouse today, this thing is heavy, every bit of 200lb. The ground was a little wet and the casters kept sinking. 30’ 30 min. Bet I feel it in the morning.
I really like the size, its got 2 shelves and a tote for a water res. Greenhouse is really level, I was just a little baked.

Just as soon as this years girls are ready to find a home they will be going into a 20gl tote. This year I am going to try a worm farm with some red wrigglers. Has any one had any luck with this +/-. Gonna start with a liter bottle cut and holed and feed with coffee grounds, greens and browns veggie leaves and brown paper.
I was planning on an outdoor grow and wondering what size bags would be appropriate. I have suggestions from 10-100 gallons. I am trying to grow three strains.
Here is my space (after the canoe and dog house are gone). Any suggestions?
8’ wide and 10’ long.
@Cat1. Ive never tried to grow in a worm bed before but have seen and helped with a worm farm box. They also had a solar composting toilet. Total hippies up in nor cal.
They feed them kitchen scraps like compost. I think there kitchen sink water went through it as well.
@JaneQP Jane which way is the sun?East/ West would be perfect What a great spot. Plant a 4x4 10’ from the fence with a 10’2x4 and put some hoops up (PVC) for drainage and some poly greenhouse cloth and your golden. You could even till it up and add some good soil and make some raised beds out of that dented canoe
@W.B.elpaso I thought about a dedicated worm box but I can get kinda lazy when I get baked. Having to dig up the casing (worm shit) does not appeal, I was just thinking about skipping that step. I know the principle is take a container drill holes in it layer soil, compost, manure and paper, add food and worms (red wigglers) they eat the food go out the holes, crap and go back in the holes and eat some more. Good fertilizer and aeration. I just have to make sure that I have good drainage.
bag size depends on how big you want your plant to grow, most of the time a 5gl. bucket will give you a 3’x3’, maybe a little taller depending on soil and how root bound they get.
You can grow a 6 foot tree of s plant in a 5 gsllon bucket. But you may have to water it twice a day. Thats why im going up to 20 gallon fabrics.
So your gonna worm farm in a raised bed? 20 gallon totes thats right. Im definitly want to check it out. I have gophers so im thinking of a raised bed in my greenhouse. I would like to try something similiar. I just worrie about other bugs coming to the party.
I’ll definitely post progress pics, I have some raised beds that are big enough to use a 5gl. bucket but the 20gl. tote is a little smaller. Maybe a gallon milk jug on some beds, but I don’t want to take up to much space in the girls room a 1lt. bottle maybe. The idea is you don’t shit in your own yard so I hope they will leave the jugs to crap and come back in for the food. Hopefully I’m full of worm shit.
I don’t have gophers but I do have moles, but I got cats to catch the moles, but the cats crap in my raised bed so I had to put in a grid. as far as bugs I got some Neem for them. Ants seem to be getting on my nerves. I also have to fig. a way to let the bees in. and maybe get me some ladybugs. Need something for spiders also. Size 10 tennis shoe maybe. I don’t know I guess I’ll just take it one day at a time.
One day at a time is the only way to go. ill send a pic of my greenhouse. I built it and grew in it last year. Im still working out the kinks though. Im removeing shade and putting all plastic.
If you look at post 136 Cannabians cloth is the same color as mine, no tint, his is a little more HD. I have some 6mil plastic thats the same shade its not clear, I thought about wrapping the top half with plastic, the poly will breath better.and let out heat.
I wanted to take a new pic but this is what it use to look like. Now it has all 6 ml. plastic except for the top. Im changing the top before spring. That is 40% shade fabric on there. It worked fantastic to grow but need that direct sunlight for flowering to finish. It slowed my flowrring time and lost potency.
