I’ll wait 2 more weeks to see what happens if she still has majority milky trichomes I’m gonna chop her down @fast-grow I know sativas trichomes change slower to none at all with amber but will it still do the samething a what a sativa strain would do if it was 15 percent more indica than sativa?

Genetics do weird things sometimes, and it’s very possible.

Yes, What Covert said… Mixing genetics is a roll of the dice and you never know which ones will come out in any given hybrid plant. Better breeding can make things more stable but recessive genes can still come to the surface. It is why some auto flowers need a push to start flowering with 12/12 lighting.

@Covertgrower @fast-grow okay I get it now. Say you have a hybrid normal seed not auto or feminised can it still do the same?

both are green gelato same plant. What do you think? Trichomes are milky but few amber trichomes. Don’t know whether I should pull her or give her about a week to 2 weeks to see what happens. Right now she is day 72 flower. @Covertgrower
Do you think changing light schedule from 12/12hrs to 11/13hrs or even 10/14hrs will help the plant mature faster by tricking it to think it’s winter times? @Covertgrower

Light scheduling doesn’t really assist with faster harvest, but proper light spectrums, heavy in red have been shown to have a little faster flowering times.

Gotta question. One of my green gelato has 3 colas. If I left the 3 colas will it focus more on buds making them bigger since there’s only 3 colas on it? It did have a 4th cola but plant wilted and couldn’t save 4th cola so I removed it now 3 colas are thriving better than ever.
It will continue growing with the three. If you had a 4th, it won’t make the other 3 any smaller if it was still there.

okay so I went out and did my watering as usually and stumbled across a 4th cola that was hidden from me lol. I haven’t seen any plants yet that have just 4 colas so I can use as reference

So I had a friend smoke some of that indica dominate hybrid with more amber less cloudy/milky trichomes. The way he had explained to me that the mostly amber trichome kind got him sedated and tired not good for work but nighttime yes. Say if I still grow indica dominate hybrids like og Gelato for example it’s 55 percent indica 45 percent sativa same as Green Gelato. if I harvest when it’s milky/cloudy trichomes that should give him the experience of daytime not sleepy but more energetic/euphoric high. I know if I want daytime cannabis to get sativa but can you make it to where it gives you energy and no where near sleepy like amber trichs do?

GreenThumb101, your question(s) is what I have been pondering. I recently harvested a White Widow Auto (ILGM seeds) that I let some trichomes go to amber. It’s definitely a sleepy/nighttime crop, despite the strain being a hybrid that’s supposed to be good for daytime. No complaints, really; I love the effects. I’m on my 2nd grow of the same strain, and I’ll let some trichomes go to amber this time again, but on my next/3rd grow I think I’ll plan on harvesting with only milky trichomes.

Okay keep me updated! I know white widow is 60 percent sativa and 40 percent indica. I am waiting on my white widow fem to come in the mail anyday the thing is I have nothing but indica dominant beside white widow. How strong nighttime was it? I know terpenes deals with alot too so what I wanna know is that choosing either cloudy/milky vs amber will it give me a different terpenes profile? @Twilve1

Good question, and I don’t know. I’m pretty new with all this. I’ll look for experienced growers to chime in.
I’ve also wondered how much the autoflower ruderalis might affect all this, if any.
ILGM’s White Widow Auto shows it’s 60 Indica/40 Sativa, if that makes a difference in my case.
How strong a nighttime is my grow? When I smoke it during the day (moderate pipe hit), very quickly I begin yawning and have a big urge to stretch out horizontally. Same at night, of course, and it has helped my body to relax very nicely at bedtime. For me, it has a very pleasant, comforting body stone, but not as heavy as my Afghan (from the dispensary). When I had a big hit at night recently, the mental buzz kicked in so that I got to be entertained by cartoons in my mind when I closed my eyes, while I was stuck in my chair. It was all good.

can anyone tell me if this is fertilizer or what? Those green balls have been in sun an outside since 2016 does that mean they don’t have any fertilizer in it or still does? I was planning on re using soil from potted plants for some plants and also I have very rich hot soil I am wanting to use its sitting in a big container no lid has been in sun for over 4 to 5 yearsit don’t smell strong or anything it doesn’t have perlite in it. Soil is from by creek that cows manure were at at one point. Will this be safe to use or will I gotta re ammend it?
