Gorilla glue photoperiod plants having issues growing proper sized buds

From a fellow grower: Ordered 20 Gorilla Glue last winter. They grew tall but 5 or 6 have a really crappy growth habit. The limbs are growing stems that have only small pea sized flowers on them and aren’t going to make any kind of buds at all. They are almost through their cycle and aren’t going to do much more. These are outside with about 8 hrs. sun. The soil is well broken up, loamy and I amended it with cured hay, mulched leaves and a small amount of chicken droppings. They get about 400 gallons of pond water each week. No crop runoff in water
About 8 hrs. sun
Temps 70 night, 90 day

Is there any chance they may have been pollinated ?
Looks like seed pods forming and the pistils appear to be prematurely browning for their size.
Join the forum and we can get more eyes on your issue to be sure.
Maybe post a few more clear pics too if possible.
There’s lots of more experienced growers here willing to lend a hand. :+1:

Ph is off + less sun heat in flower (makes for compact bud growth) + Possible water logging according to story

Try some more pics. Some things are hard to tell from pictures. You definitely have something going on but i cant put my finger on it from that pic alone

Yep. I am thinking pollenated as well.
Would definitely like to see more pictures.
Those pistils going brown and I see a few with just the tips brown is a sure sign of pollination.
A pistil will darken overall if unpollinated and start at the tip if pollenated.
Here is a reference pic of a pollenated bud from an article about pollination.

Notice the tips of the pistils are brown.
Here is your photo.

The other evidence is the plant has stopped making new flowers. They stop once they have been pollenated and they also stop making resin.
Perhaps a neighbor is growing. Maybe there is wild cannabis growing as it does here in Missouri.
Or one of your own plants has grown a few male flowers.
Just my guess until we get more information.

I recently used a preventative spray at sun up, and it browned out every new button top pistols… It looked very much like that photo… (Minus those extreme stretching of nodes)… I’ve seen daylight showers burn my pistols too. Just spitballing, and not saying definitely.
90° with a sick girl would definitely look weird… Also, She’s lacking classic fans… l also had this issue… Had 2 re-veg in flower, and then get stuck for months with dead pistols everywhere. Meanwhile, single leaf fans in mass-production all the way up… When mine went mold, i pulled.

When you have 5 or 6 plants showing something that is this far out of the ordinary growth pattern you have to look at external factors.
Genetic or mutant issues don’t effect 6 out of 20 seeds. Something of this nature if it was genetic would be a 1 out of 1000 type of mutation. The fact that we all are looking at it wondering what it is shows its a rare occurrence. If not pollination, then we would have to look at what treatments might have been sprayed on, feed to the roots, insects, and things like this.
Until we get more info and some questions answered all we can do is guess.

You mentioned cured hay, is there any chance that it was contaminated with roundup or a similar herbicide? A Lot of farmers douce their hay with herbicides that kill dicots (Weed, and other weeds) but leave monocots ( grass) alone just before harvest. Some are so nasty that horses and cows can eat them and then their manure is contaminated. Look at premies.com for warnings to natural growers about contaminated hay.

They are not pollinated and are not treated with any kind of sprays. The hay is prarie hay and has never been treated or sprayed. The soil is loamy and drains well. The pond is spring fed. All the other plants grown next to them are showing normal growth patterns but this is the last couple weeks of their cycle so this is all they’re going to do.
