Gorilla Girl 1 became 6, round 2

More like SIP sub irrigation planter.

Heres a good video showing what they are.
Mine are a different model, i have " 1pot xl trays, but they work the same.

I use trash cans fur reservoirs because they work great and way cheaper then a reservoir from autopots.

Line runs from reservoir to a float in the tray and the pot sets in the tray.

Any pot or bag that will set in the tray can be used.
I use many different ones. .

The last picture is the next round of clones from the original 1 Gorilla Girl seed that i just transplanted yesterday. But the autopots are very unusual :+1:

I tried doing something similar with a 5-gallon bucket and a drip line last year and it didn’t work out so well. but perhaps I was doing it wrong, or maybe using the wrong equipment. I will have to do more research into this and perhaps use it in future grows. It’s like a whicker system if I am following correctly. this would in courage root growth, in turn, causes canopy growth.

Correct on all accounts :+1:
I’ve used a couple of diy SIP buckets and they worked ok, but not as good as the autopots.
Basically just like this with 2 buckets, a cup, and pvc pipe.

I also add an air stone in the bottom of the container feeding the root zone constant air supply.

about a year maybe a year and a half ago I was looking into DWI, but I like this method I think better. so you put a pump in the bottom, like a fish tank pump?
I don’t think i have enough room to do all of this. I sure would like to try it though.

The only thing that plugs in an outlet and uses electricity is an air pump that feeds air to an air stone thats buried in the bottom of the pot to supply air to the root zone. The nutrients flows from the reservoir by gravity.
Thats the only pump I use and it’s not necessary.

Here’s a link to their website, it should go straight to their list of videos explaining all there many different size and shape kits and whatever else they sale.
But most people use the “1pot xl” modules or if they want a compact grow some use the “easy2grow” modules but they have alot of different kits.
They all basically work the same, just different sizes and plant count.

So its basically washing the plant kinda like you would any fruit or vegetable before you eat it.

I took 2-5gal buckets, one with 3 gallon of water and 1gal of proxide (useing the 3% brown bottle proxide that’s a little less then 1% proxide).

1st bucket get the proxide water.
2nd bucket get plain tap water.

I cut the limbs off so they fit in the bucket and dip each one in 1st bucket swirling it around like a washing machine, then rise it again in the 2nd bucket.
I then shake the buds and hand them.

It’s my first time trying it but theres alot of videos and people doing it slightly different. But basically rises the dust, bug poop, dirt, or whatever else may land on it as it grows.

My water wasn’t dirty at all but some videos I’ve seen their water be nasty afterwards

Theres tons of videos on YouTube about the autopots and all the many setups. .

Really all you need to buy from them is trays and flotes if you’re handy at all the reservoirs, hoses and fitting can be got alot cheaper on Amazon or most hardware stores.
Maybe it easier to convince the boss if the cost is lower :man_shrugging::sweat_smile:

But buying a plug and play kit is worth the money though if you use them

@PurpNGold74
Good morning my freind
So do you know what happened to the little option at the bottom of a thread the use to allow us to “see new post”.

It’s gone and I can’t figure out how to navigate to “new” posts now
It was So convenient to finish reading and from the bottom just hit the “see new posts” or whatever it said, i don’t exactly remember

Not sure. They’ve been making a few UI changes and that seems to be a fairly recent one. I miss it myself though. It’s how I stayed in touch with all the newer growers… that and the ‘what’s wrong with my plant’ thread that has become basically a pinned troubleshoot thread. I bet whoever started that muted the email on their ILGM account.

Haha @dbrn32 started it. N it is pinned now… hilarious.

We were talking about this yesterday.

Me to
As I think about it though, and I’ve no idea how the technology actually works
But i imagine the way it was created an extensive amount of posts that’s only a few comments and is never utilized again just taken up space :man_shrugging:

I’ve no idea but I’m sure there’s a reason, it was clearly a very used function.
We’ll get use to it

Power went out from storm today at 2:30, power company says its going be 9pm tomorrow before it’s back on.

Its so hot in house, I’ve no way of doing anything about it.
Its a long time in dark, hot and humid tents with no air movement, and I’m pretty sure my flower reservoir is empty :man_facepalming:.

This really sucks!

That sucks. My power was out for 3 days last month. Same deal, lost all my tops to budrot :expressionless:

That really sucks. That’s a lot of time and expense shot to hell.Send a bill to the power co. for compensation, haha. When I relocate I’ll start indoor growing and probably put up a few solar panels out in the yard just to power the grow room.
