Anybody know of any good water chillers for a 25 gallon res for around 200$? I read fish tank ones work but id rather know that I’m getting something decent. My temp in my tent normally wont get above 78. But i read anything above 72 i should probably have one. Provide a link if you can, thanks guys!
Are you using a root inoculant in the meantime? What’s your set up Growmie
We have great minds who are creative.
First, the ranch loves college auctions. Vehicles, electronics, etc are left by students and used university goods.
Not a hydro guy yet, see chillers mentioned.
I need some hose dimensions. Made a bunch of keg fridges with spickets taps.
Is it possible to use small dorm fridge for possible chiller. College auctions give those away. 5.oo to 10.oo.
Not knowing facts, you can manipulate the temps various ways.
I guess it would be possible. But idk if it would be able to set the temps to 68 to 72. Which is optimal. Not sure how thatd all work though. But you can use frozen water bottles to keep the temps down
My brother took a stainless milk vat that we use to hold bait in. West Texas summer temps. And maintained 250 gals of water chilled for months with fridge and 100s of ft of tubing in the fridge.
After knee surgery, they like to ice some to control swelling. Go to a medical rental store and look at the simple design of the six pack cooler they use for ice therapy. Yes that one uses ice. They rent and sell. Same can be done with any refrigerated unit instead of ice.
Southern Ag or Hydroguard. Personally I like the Southern Ag, 98% of the main ingredient in Hydroguard and a fraction of the cost
If you’re going to plumb something to outside the tent anyway, have you considered moving the res first? Maybe you wouldn’t need a chiller.
My res is right below my table. And i just wanna always keep optimal temps. I ended up finding a chiller for 200$ just trying to have the best possible grow i can.
