After 5 years with ILGM I no longer grow their seeds and rather not express why I’m done plus I’m tired of waiting every 5 months on every harvest Switching to autos is the best thing I have ever done Good luck!!
I’m glad you figured out your groove for growing. While the wait times on harvest for photoperiod plants might be a legitimate reason, your comment about Ilgm’s genetics doesn’t advance the conversation at all…
It could be useful for them, and everyone, to understand your concerns and maybe find solutions. If not for you, at least for the community.
And, did you know that you can grow photoperiod plants on a 12/12 schedule from the start? Thus reducing wait times before harvest…
I wish you well on your decision and hope you’ll have a great day @RedEyEs66 .

Don’t blame you, if I lacked the time, patience, and skill to grow good photos, I would switch too.
I also had this problem and brother autos are not the solution. I ran 20 over the course of a year and had the same problems of running out of weed.
The problem is no veg tent or no veg area.
Running the 2 week seedling and then running a 3 week veg and the flip and then 10 days to 2 weeks for the stretch and then putting them in the flower tent to finish on 8-10 weeks.
7 weeks from harvest you restart the veg tent.
This gives you a tent full every 8 to 10 weeks for harvest.
Autos will still have 2 week seedling and 3 week stretch to puffballs and perhaps as short at a 7 week flower.
Still 12 weeks. Autos can be good 4-6 lids per plant but I was averaging much less and some of the versions of the autos just came out genetically weird and just did not do well.
My breeder stated 84 days for ILGM apple fritter Auto.
From 80 to 104 days and the biggest was the 104.
I have the skill of growing I just don’t have patience growing weed I don’t get a buzz off of!
Autos now have proven people like you wrong Growing bad genetics don’t make good weed and sounds like that’s what your case was Autos are at 31%Thc and over a pound per plant and most can beat reg photos at cannabis cup awards!!

I needed a good laugh today at lunch break
Well damn, I’ve been doing all this wrong!![]()
I’ve been growing autos for over 5 years using ILGM auto seed with great success. I usually do 2 grows per summer outdoors of 1 - 2 plants per grow and have enough weed to carry over from year to year. I am a moderate smoker. I use a 2 hit pipe I made back in the late 1960’s or my POTV dry herb vapes. I don’t understand why you would have to move on from ILGM, just use their auto seed.
I simply dont care for them anymore 5 yrs with them and only 1 and only 1 was a unicorn that people call it but nothing beyond that!
Sorry about your luck as I said no problems here.
You can go back through my posts here to see photos.
I also used ILGM fertilizers.
A dispensary will give you an ounce in 5 minutes no hassle. Perhaps nature is too long for you and should. let them grow for you? Not a chance an auto will match a properly grown photo. Ruderalis is the killer. Shows hard at times. Unstable flowering times. No way to fix a bad start like you can a photo.
As mentioned above, 12/12 photo start to finish match auto in time very closely.
Kinda hard to support you when you led flaming ILGM.
Hey man, I’m wondering if maybe your issue with the strength is more so related to your harvest timing opposed to the seed bank.
Do you have any pics of your disappointing plants? Curious what your finished products looking like.
Also, ILGM has autos too… ![]()
Been growing for over 40 yrs and every and all questions about Why!! Im done with ILGM Has nothing to do with how I grow I dont care how good it looks How good it smells It comes down to one thing How good is the buzz and if i have to smoke a entire joint to get a 30 min buzz Well that’s not worth putting my time and money into a grow that’s going to be disappointing everytime Thats it Im in to it for the buzz nothing else!
Touche lol…
I know a few who are good at both . I myself prefer the control of photos . Plus the fact that I really don’t care how long anything takes from seedling to veg to flower , I don’t care how long as long as everything is at the right stage . I would grow autos , I just don’t for some reason . As for “unicorns” not being too plentiful says a lot for the stability of the genetics , which can only be a good thing .
