Going away - Self Watering Solution?

Hi all, I am heading away for a week and been doing some research on self watering solutions.

I have been experimenting with used soft drink bottles and tiny holes. I haven’t been able to perfect this however.

Any suggestion and help would be hugely appreciated :raised_hands:

Cheers

Ok cool, I haven’t heard of them before. Will do some googling now. Thank you!

Try an autopot system. It’s a gravity fed self watering system.

I say my last comment for some humor, but seriously, just because of all the lights and wiring it wouldn’t be a bad idea at all, and you can pay them in cannabis:)

X2 on blumat. You need at least a week to fine tune before leaving, ideally 2.

can you run us trough on how to fine tune…
Carrot in wet soil, tube has no air. Which carrot do i set first the last or the first? I open the weel until i see a steady flow then I close till there is only a drop hanging of the tube…
How often do you use the little weels when fine tuning, and on what indication do you close or open them?
Am I missimg something?

All off the above is true. Don’t forget to use a syringe or dropper to force water into the underside of the cap when doing the pre soak of carrots and tops.

Fine tuning would be based on you want a higher or lower moisture level in your soil.

Once you turn the knob clockwise to have a hanging drip, you then turn 2 arrow notches clockwise again to set them.

So you close steadily until it’s not dripping any more and then you keep closing 2 notches?

Yep, one hanger drop, 2 arrows more closed/clockwise.

water only for me, but I don’t see why properly dissolved notes would not work.
