So I’m doing the GH 10-part nutrient system. As I was going through the site, I noticed a few other supplements that weren’t on my shopping list. I wanted to ask you guys and see which of you use these sups and what you use them in combination with.
FloraNectar (FruitnFusion & Sugar Cane, 2 separate products). They’re both sweeteners, same NPK ratio, both at least partially derived from natural sources. They’re not from General Organics, and there’s no feedcharts for them. Sounds like a good product but there’s no guidance from GH as to how these are intended to be used.
Diamond Nectar. I understand it’s a humic acid supplement, but it’s not included in the 10-part nutrient feedchart, or any other feedchart that’s on their site (that I can find, at least). Why wouldn’t this be a part of every non-organic feedchart? No GH guidance on this one either.
Floralicious. There’s the grow, bloom, and plus. The system I’m on includes the plus, but not the grow and bloom, which means there’s a feedchart that includes the plus but not grow and bloom, which also isn’t a true grow and bloom because the NPK ratios aren’t even close to the Flora trio ratios. Not sure what the purpose of these are but clearly people use them.
FloraBlend. It’s a vegan plant booster. But plant booster doesn’t tell me anything because all supplements are “plant boosters” in some capacity. My guess is that it’s for those who go the vegan route, which I’m now discovering is even a thing at all. Still confused on this one though.
Terpinator and Purpinator. There’s feedcharts and intentions for these, but the feedchart is just for these 2 products by themselves. I was thinking about getting these since grandaddy purple is a very purple strain. My dilemma with this however, is that if i add these supplements, wouldn’t i go into nute lock if i’m hitting the ppm goal on the 10-part nute system? And if I made room in my ppm to add this, would I then be underfeeding the base nutes? I understand the intention of these products, confused on how to incorporate them into my current feedchart.
I think that’s all. I should add that I know there’s a bunch of you out there who think anything outside of base nutes and CalMag is all snake oil. If that’s you, please don’t reply this post. Only looking to hear from people who use these supplements or know how to use them.
I suggest picking one nutrient line and sticking with that. Be sure that you are managing your runoff PPM and pH. Stacking nutrients can cause all kinds of problems.
This is the one I’m using. They’re both 10-part systems from GH but with some of the nutes switched out. You have some that I don’t have and I have some that you don’t have, but I can’t seem to figure out why there are 2 different feed charts. I assume they both have a different purpose? Idk.
What does your feed chart specify? I seen a few out there so I just check with the General Hydro website to clarify.
Terpinator and Purpinator are plant supplements manufactured by General Hydroponics. Terpinator is a liquid nutrient for flowering/fruiting plants that can help improve terpene production. Purpinator has the same terpene enhancing benefits as Terpinator, with the added benefit of helping to improve purple coloration in genetically capable strains. They provide a unique combination of benefits to flowering and oil-producing plants. The formulations help encourage the production of desired secondary metabolites, increasing the concentration of terpenoids to help enhance flavors, aromatics, and color (for purple-hued plants). You can easily incorporate them into your General Hydroponics feed or any nutrient regimen – whether you grow indoor, outdoor, or hydro.
I’m using the Liquid Koolbloom and Koolbloom Dry that is for flowering to help bulk up and finishing.
Yeah I know what they do but I didn’t wanna add this to my current feed chart and end up overfeeding because it would increase the PPM specified in my feed chart, since the current feed chart doesn’t account for the terpinator and purpinator nutes. I think I might just skip those two and try it next grow with the same feed chart and compare the difference.
Purpinator provides the building blocks for secondary metabolites, which helps increase the production of terpenes for improved aromatics and flavors. [It is derived from Monopotassium Phosphate, Potassium Sulfate, and Magnesium Sulfate].
.
See my chart above for Floralicious - I use the Floralicious Plus from seedling until Flush stage. You can split that is you use Floralicious Grow from start to end of Veg then Switch to Floralicious Bloom from Flower until flush
FloraBlend. It’s a vegan plant booster. But plant booster doesn’t tell me anything because all supplements are “plant boosters” in some capacity. My guess is that it’s for those who go the vegan route, which I’m now discovering is even a thing at all. Still confused on this one though.

I neen useing GH for a couple years now and all you need is the flora series trio “flora micro”, “flora gro”, and “flora bloom” if you want liquid.
Or maxi series “maxi gro” and “maxi bloom” if you want powder and best bang for your money.
No matter what the nutrient brand, anything with more then 3-4 bottles is a waist.
None of the terpene boosters do anything or any if the other crazy claims. Theres no magic special formula that you give at a specific time
It’s all marketing to get you to spend more money.
Notice the actual ingredients in just about every “add on” is all ready in the trio
They take advantage of people not knowing and everyone looking for that magic ingredient that doesn’t exist
I’ve used he three part GH Flora series for a number of years. You can use the trio and grow just fine. But if you’re looking for a bit of extravagance you can take a walk on the wild side. I think I hear what you saying but there is a bit of variance if you use the feed chart I posted.
I did stick to a trusted nutrient brand General Hydroponics and what they recommended for an expert grow. I did this with research on what others are having success with.

Hydroguard®
a bacterial root inoculant by Botanicare, plays a vital role in promoting healthy plant roots. Let’s explore its composition:
Guaranteed Analysis:
Bacillus amyloliquefaciens: Contains a minimum of 1.00×10^4 colony-forming units (cfu’s) per milliliter. Hydroguard® is designed to:
Decompose Organic Matter: It breaks down organic material, converting it into nutrients that can be directly absorbed by plant roots.
Enhance Nutrient Uptake: By fostering beneficial microbial activity, it supports nutrient absorption.
Suppress Damping Off Diseases: It helps plants resist and suppress damping off diseases in both soil and hydroponic systems.t
These can be successful but not at all necessary.
The forum is full of success with 1 and 3 part nutrients.
GH trio and never over 1000ppm, rarely ever that high. It can be extremely easy to grow lots of dank bud and over priced gimmicks aren’t necessary for success my freind
I max my lights out gram to watt regularly with in a sterile system with just the basics and good environmental controls with 0 wasted nutrients as I have no run-off. That’s success in my book
Beautiful plants @happypappy I was just saying they aren’t gimmicks. I’m attempting to provide the benefits of an active organic soil in a hydroponic environment. The additional components I’m using do reduce the amount of GH Trio I’m using. I’m still staying from 300-1350 ppm, using rain water, from seedling to finished flower.
Additionally it’s hard to keep bad microbes fro invading my water buckets unless you use H2O2 to keep it sterile. It using an active good microbe allows for better uptake in nutrients and keeps the bad microbes from attacking my root zone.
I know there are all kinds of gimmicks out there. So I stick with General Hydroponics and watch what the commercial growers are doing.
At the end of the day I’m happy with my harvest too. I hope these girls perform as well as last years.
