Hey guys,
Quick question does any 1 know the feed order to the full line of general hydroponic flora line?, I’m getting ready to start a 3 dwc, side by side with Gh flora, FF, and botanicare, and I’m trying to find info on the feeding order of bytes in dwc, I know first calmag, second silica, but past that I’m not a 100% any 1 got some knowledge to drop on me? Thanks ahead of time.
Ryano
I think this is for dwc. if not just go to there website

Hey,
I have and if I went by that it’s got micro first and I’ve always read calcium then silica then the rest , so do I need to just follow there label, or what? Any suggestions on there full line?
I know its blurry but it says add silica first then calmag then micro

Hey,
So is that the only 2 that’s that’s out that’s out of order?,
Then just follow the pattern as It goes down the chart?
I always use the micro first before anything else, I have never used the silica when I used the cal-mag first my plants just didn’t look as good , could be a fluke but it has worked better for me micro first
Is there a reaction happening? Why does the order matter?
Reading on their site, it seems like the main thing is just to not mix them concentrated, but add them one at a time.

If you read the grow schedule they indicate silica first. Then everything else in no particular order. My last rez change looked like I had just put fresh solution in the tote. I didn’t even have any precipitate in the bottom. I use the full Monty of GH Flora line.

I really want to know why, though. I’m not disputing it, I have no experience with it. I want to understand what’s happening in all those bubbles lol

If you put the silica in after other nutes it jellies. If you mix concentrated nutrients together for example: 50ml Grow, 50 Micro and 100 Grow. Those 3 will combine and then precipitate out as a hard crystal. Of course this changes your nutrient ratios so you don’t really know what you’re feeding it.

Hey,
I I ended up just emailing the company and asking and I belive i got it figure out, so many people mix nutes differently, I was having trouble trying to get a definite answer, but I like running side by sides, so I got the full gh flora line and I’m running it beside mills line, with a couple clones in dwc, I will figure out the best lol… or try to at least…lol

So puting the silica in first allows it to be dissolved, stripping it of whatever allows it to react with the others?

Something like that. Hell: it could be magic pixie dust for all I know haha. But I made the mistake with silica and got this bluish jell stuck to my pyrex measuring cup and had to use steel wool to get it entirely clean (not sure if I ever did).

They say right on the bottles to add in specific order to prevent nutrients from falling out of solution, do you dispute this?
That isnt meant as a jab, purely from an information basis. Manufacturers often get things wrong. So Im curious because I also use GH stuff.

I could see both being good reasons for there being a particular order. I was just curious about why, chemically or whatever.
My grow schedule says to use Cal Mag right after silica and both before anything else. That’s all it says. I missed the cal mag so will make sure it’s number 2!
