Thirsty strain. Watch ph. Gg4 is sensitive. Still cloning 1. 2 years in. About to mix it up though. Very potent. If you go 20%amber it will knock you down. GREAT strain for hash/rso. Looking good.

Looking good in there, I would suggest topping that medium off when she grows vertical some more or cut the fabric pot down if you’re planning on any HST/LST :love_you_gesture:

This is my first grow, so I’m still pretty new to some of the techniques like HST/LST… Probably won’t risk it just because I’m not very educated on how to perform these techniques as of yet… I also read that it isn’t recommended to perform HST/LST on autos because of the shorter vegetative stage… I have see. Some people do it though in my research.

I top all my autos to get bigger yields but with ya on growing it out naturally on your 1st one :love_you_gesture:

I am going to keep reading on those techniques and I will definitely try it out on the next grow! Thanks for the tips!

Curious. At what point during the grow do you top them?

Gòod call. Get a couple under your belt then play.

Sativas I’ll top at node 4 or 5 back to the 3rd and sometimes the 4th on a slower growing one and Indicas from the 5th back to the 4th. For me it’s watching the initial growth for sprinters or ones that just seem to be jogging along. Cannabis is a lot like children in a family, some grow taller and faster and some will stay short. I can tag you on my grow if you’re interested :love_you_gesture:

That would be helpful, thank you!!!

Spent a lot of time going over the resources you told me about… I am so intrigued… I’ve decided I am going to attempt to ā€œmanifoldā€ at least one of my plants and see how it goes.

Excellent!! Manifold LST are typically reserved for photo period plants but several cultivators including myself have been successful with autos particularly only having 2 toppings versus 3. The 2nd topping is not really required on the main branches 1st node but usually removed. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t :love_you_gesture:

Most of the resources I found said to top the plant for the first time when it has 6 nodes… Would you advise this when considering autos? Or is it different for autos?

Autos mature a little faster but there’s always a Slow or runt in the bunch. I’ve topped autos at the 4th to the 3rd on several manifolds and 5th back to the 4th. It all depends on the rate of growth. Out of the 5 I’m running now and all broke ground at the same time but only 3 were topped together then the other 2 about 4-5 days later due to slow growth and 1 was the same strain and batch as the other topped several days before. It’s an observation thing for me and when to top :love_you_gesture: here they are this morning after some LST. Look at the 2GSCs. Same age but noticeable size difference

Today is the end of week 3 for my plants and I am going to attempt to top one of them today to see how it goes… Question: should I be trimming anything else off the plants at this point? Any other leaves? And can I try some LST after topping or would it be too much for the plant to handle?
