Yeah i have an organic spray i started using last week when i saw them eating my leaves. I dont have/k ow how to measure nutrients. Ill need recomendations.
are U using any?
What soil is the plant in?
7/3 quick update on the tent.
Day 14 on 12/12
She is full flower so more good things are sure to follow
Stack them up
Looking good brother
Looking good and stacking well!!
@SilvaBack203 @CooterJuice
thanks
Closet 7/4
The two have been top fed the last couple of days. They received their regular feeding of Jack’s, tribus, Bud Candy and Sensizym. I also added Cal-Magic and Ancient Earth for humics. I will not run Ancient Earth through the autopots. It is good stuff but some falls out of suspension if allowed to sit like in the tray.
For now I think I have curtailed the pH and calcium issues they were exhibiting. And, you can see they have filled in the frames. They will go back on autopots today after I do a little maintenance pruning. There are some young upstarts that need to be thinned out. Tomorrow I will hit them a little harder in preparation to flip. There is two weeks + difference between the closet and the tent.
Looking nice happy 4TH
Thanks, back at ya
So they are in a mixture of dirt and potting soil from Miracle grow. I learned after they started that people dont recomend using Miracle Grow. I keep the soil wet/Moist.
It is a two step process when using most nutrients. First you mix them in the recommended order and rates. Second, measure the solution’s pH and PPM/TDS based on the grow medium and system (soil / hydro).
As I have mentioned in this thread I grow in coco and use Jack’s 321 nutrients. Coco is a high frequency fertigation medium and is not for everyone based on how often you need to water & fertilize. This demand can be lessened significantly by using an automated watering system (eg autopots).
To measure pH and PPM, accurate and reliable instruments (pens) are recommended. I started out with low cost pH and TDS pens. They worked fine but were slow. I upgraded to an Apera pH20 pen. The pen alone is around $50. However you will also need storage and calibrating solutions ($25 ±).
Lower cost TDS meters are adequate and do what is needed. I used this meter
When I upgraded my pH pen and also upgraded my PPM meter to
What nutrients to use is a tough call. I started with Fox Farm Trio and grew in soil. It got me through a couple of grows. From FF I went to Advanced Nutrients Organics. Excellent line but very expensive. I still use many of it supplements in combination with Jack’s. If I ever switch back to soil (for top watered plants) I would go with a product called Earth Dust from The Green Sunshine Co. Several top quality growers on the forum use it with great success. The process is apparently quite simple and straight forward. Premix soil with some and let it cook for 2 weeks. After that it is a matter of top dressing the soil a couple of times as directed. I believe you still need to pH the water. Search the forum for Earth Dust or check out @MeEasy massive thread dedicated to its use https://ilgmforum.com/t/meeasy-what-is-going-on-now
Yep hello Mr @BigCountry412 Earth Dust is great stuff makes growing as simple as turning on the hose no need to test anything except before you start the first time because you obviously can’t use sewer water but it’s very forgiving and most of the time you can water straight from the hose with no problem and as stated above a top dress or two of dry nutrients and it makes you look good because it grows some beauties
It is not perfect and is a slower process than you get from growing in water or coco so it’s not for everyone but it is a very easy and cheap way to grow
Thanks for the tag n link Beardless
Not kidding when I say I’d use it if I switched back to soil.
Straight from the hose, hard to beat that. The microbes must work wonders. I know even in coco my pH can increase without much apparent detriment.
I imagine, unless a problem arises, no need to worry about or monitor runoff pH. In fact runoff is probably not recommended.
Thanks for responding
Awesome info you guys thank you. Ill look at these recommendations for my next grow set up.
So i think thethesthese will be ready to harvest in another week. Most of the pistols have turned redish and curled up and i think some of the tricomes have turned amber. What do you guys think. I do see some white pistols that are new but most have changed
I can see amber on the sugar leaves. If you have a jewelers loupe cut a sample from the bud and take a look to confirm what you are looking for. I’d say you are in the window depending on what you are looking for.
Care to guess what today is.
7/10 day 21 defoliation
I had removed a few leaves here and there and today it is time to open her up a bit more.
She is too think and I find moisture drops where leaves overlap. This despite having an intake take, oscillating clip fan and a floor fan running.
Big fan leaves with long stems are the first to go
I left the new fans at the top of the bud and started at the next lower level of leaves
Like this one. I will leave a few of these if nothing is below it.
One done, a bunch more to do
Much better. I’ll do a little more tomorrow.
I see some now I can remove
Beautiful work @beardless… girls are looking very healthy and stacked up nicely.
Thank you kindly. I must admit, they are happy plants and lovin what they are doing.
Thats because you keep crushing it and all your girls end up been monsters
