Thanks man, much appreciated. I will see what I can come up with, thanks again for all the help. That goes to everyone!!
Arrow does have a bunch of the 3500 single row F-Series strips in right now for 12.66$ which is a pretty good deal.
You could buy 10 of the strips and a driver and make a pretty good light for around 200-250$
Shit, that’s not bad. Just checked and 30% still active. Drivers were extremely picked over though. I was going to buy 4 hlg-120 a’s on Saturday and had to get b’s because there was only 1 a in stock. You guys usually run those 560 single row strips around 1 amp?
Yea, I haven’t seen any problems running them at the test current. These are slim enough to where if you put it on some thin u channel or anything really to help distribute heat they do fine. Most builds I’ve seen have them around or even a bit higher.
I thought so. A couple of 300 watt lights running 560’s wouldn’t be too bad in a 5x5 @Anonyboii.
The thing about strips over boards is just a little bit more work, but I think the reward in the end is worth it. If you’re capable and willing the experience of doing so is more than a plus. I think strips do a great job of distributing the light, from what ive seen they do a pretty good job. Finding them is usually a task.
I agree. Drop in price on version 1 boards and packages with heatsinks really made them attractive. When it was $75 per board and $25 per sink there was bigger gap for savings. For someone looking for a light more than a project, the discounts are hard to beat. But a good sale can sway back to building too.
Hi, As far as the future light concern I would prefer led lights because it cuts your electricity bill and saves money during Christmas or other occasions. I was looking for led lights for my bedroom online and I came across original article about layla beds . I checked the features and to my surprise, these lights offered some really impressive functions. I immediately ordered them and found them really very useful for home decor and future purpose.
With this light; How did your plants do in the flower stage? And how was your final bud quality? I have 2 of the 600w from the same company, I’m not sure they will be enough for 4 at plants at flower in a 4x4 area. Thx in advance.
