What groups do you recommend for refurbished lights?
And what would you recommend for growing two plants indoors over the winter?
I’m not planing on ever growing more than 2 at a time indoors and that would only be over winter.

I’m a light smoker for chronic migraine relief. By light smoker I mean-1 or 2 hits of a small pipe or vape and that’s all I need to get past the pain.
I’m not a fan of being totally stoned but I can appreciate the many who have become connoisseurs of the bud:) It’s just not my vibe.
I would always be a very small grower 1-2 plants and that would last me quite a while.
1 vape cart lasts me 3 months+? And that’s usually a high CBD strain, only exception would be chillin a few times a yr on vacation❤️

My biggest expense so far this year growing outdoors is pest control. Some years I hardly spend anything on it. I only ph my water when plants are still in pots in Happy frog or Ocean forest or similar soil before being transplanted outside in the ground. Once they’re outside I water from my garden hose or pump water from my pond. The ph of my well water is. 8 - 8.3 The only reason I test ph at that point is if I have an issue and I’m trying to figure it out to correct it. My plants are in 3x3x3ft deep holes. I make my own living soil I ammend it over the winter and spring every year. I also use some dry ammendments during the grow process but not much. Mainly during flower.

I use a living soil from a local nursery that’s comparable to happy frog. I use it in my garden and rarely need amendments, only for things more acid loving.
It has worm casing and all the good stuff. I also have black and gold seedling soil.

I don’t usually have issues with pests except vine borers in my zucchini plants😖 and occasional small birds that get past the fencing.

I need a good light for two plants start to finish but I need to maintain a budget.
I appreciate your advice.
My daughter has trimmed and works in a dispo and has for several years but she has never grown the plant.
I could just buy it but I like growing everything and I want to know how it’s grown, and have a good supply on hand.

I have cloth pots I use in 5/10/25gal sizes. I run a garden that’s auto fed water by rain barrels.
For these plants I would self water in a cloth pot-I’m just unsure of what size to use??
I could put inground but I have dogs and I like being able to move things before bad weather.
I’m in Oklahoma so we have wild storms sometimes.

If I was growing in pots/bags Id go with 30gal bags.
Cannabis has completely different pest than the ones on your veggies in the garden. The only crossovers Ive had were caterpillars and grasshoppers. Ive had spider mites and russet mites, fungus gnats and leaf hoppers on my marijuana plants but none of those have ever been found on my veggie plants. Aphids are another one of those crossovers but Ive never had any aphids in my garden, thank God. They can wreck havoc on marijuana plants. I live in Arizona we have monsoons here but nothing like the tornados you get in Oklahoma.

Once you grow out your first plant amd harvest, dry, and cure… you will never want to visit a Dispo again. I used to drive 10 hours round trip to a legal state just for my out of state MAX but since ive started growing ive realized that my own stuff is 1000 times better than whats avail at a dispensary

Nice looking garden. Love the blueberries. You run any fruit trees too?

I sprout em under a cheap 2 foot fluorescent on a sungro dome. Have let them get up to 3 - 4 inchs in solo cups.

Will be getting a small hlg like the above for it though. My wife wants something more for her seedlings next year.

I grow mine indoors under their scorpion diablo

You can grow maybe 1 or 2 autos max on a 100W input LED light.

Your yield will be low but will be much cheaper than buying your weed elsewhere.

I got 6 oz total on my first grow with 200W trying to grow 4 autos.

Bit I was very happy with that just starting out.

I have cherry trees:)
Was going to plant more this yr but hubby is looking at selling and buying land to build forever home now that we are retiring.
My rain gutter garden was a garden I could easily take down and move when the time comes, it’s been there for 3 yrs and it’s super easy gardening!
I just plant, watch and harvest.

I’m not planning a large grow, just 1-2 plants over winter and maybe some food plants.
Is it too late to start an outdoor grow this season?
I’ve been having issues getting seeds to start, some don’t sprout and some start to split then don’t grow?
I was thinking it could be light and maybe heat from having my crappy light too close🤔
That and a few bunk seeds that just won’t sprout.
I’m in Oklahoma.

Never too late, just different grow parameters and future.
Practice makes for good learning.
YES start a couple and document/share the journey.
Wild journey, always.
Seedlings will live under crappy lighting, just develop poorly.
You said germinating and getting seedling stage is the problem.
Seed source? Medium? Methods.
Document so we can assist.
