Foxtailing/Harvest Question

Looking for some input…

I have a plant that was foxtailing due to light intensity, I have since turned down the light and hopefully have things under control.

My question is this…the plant has a 63 day flowering time, I am currently on day 86 and as you can see, I am not sure it is ready to chop. Also, all the pistils do not seem to have turned color yet, it seems the pistils that are part of the foxtailing have yet to “ripen.” I stopped with nutrients a couple weeks ago thinking I was getting to the end…

Could the pistils not ripening and the extra time be due to the foxtailing?

Be sure that you are looking at trichomes on the more mature flower calyxes. Those on the newer (foxtail) calyxes may not be mature at harvest time. I get them and I just cut the foxtails off when I harvest.

How many weeks or days has the plant actually been flowering? Most plants will be ready for harvest after 8 to 10 weeks of flowering time. Time from seed is irrelevant.

@MidwestGuy

Thanks for that, it does make sense.

The 86 days is actual flowering time. The plant sprouted in February. So it’s been quite some time.

Plant is looking really nice. The trics in the pic still have some clear. I would continue monitoring the trichomes for milky white at 100% then harvest.

I think she can come down anytime now personally. 70-100% cloudy is window for great thc. 90-100 is maxed thc.
