Fox farms is it worth it?

Anyone following the fox farms to a T right now im just using Big bloom, grow big, tiger bloom, and cal mag… any one using all the other stuff? Is it worth it

I’ve grown with just the trio and I’ve used the entire thing. I do think that the entire system puts out some very nice and terpy buds, but the added cost wasn’t worth it for me. I grow with Jacks 321 at an adjusted ratio in coco now and will never go back.

Just like any nutrient company it’s finding how to make it work best for you. It’s a good product. Watering to runoff is important.

They measure is 700scale so take that into consideration.

I use Jacks, but add the FF bloom boosters in flower and do see a noticeable difference.

I’ve used the trio myself and it worked fine for me without the other nutes. I however switched to hydroponic system and have been using Green Planet nutes

I use Jacks and all 3 of the FF boosters, Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz and Cha Ching. This is a Mimosa Auto I’m bringing down in a few days…

This is my results with the original jacks 321, silica and 1x recharge weekly. I’m happy with it but would like to adjust more and add some other things next grow.

I use the same as you plus the 3 powders. The powders do add some extra weight.

Other stuff not needed and a waste of money in my opinion

I use nothing but General Hydroponics Maxigro for veg and MaxiBloom for flower.

I have had just as good of results useing fox farm grow big and tiger bloom only.
Still have a small bit of grow big left.

What sort of ratios are you mixing when using the boosters with jacks? I switched to jacks and still have all the ff boosters. Would be nice to use them up.

A lot of good cannabis friendly nutes on the market. I think the key is to stick with one brand long enough to get a good feel.
(More like at least three grows)
Fox Farm is a good product good luck :+1:

What does the 700 scale mean i saw that on there but dont know what that is

There are three different kinds of scales used as a measurement from EC.

EC is the real measurement

1.0 can give you 500ppm,640 or 700.

We here use 500 scale, 2.0 ec is 1000ppm.

I still dont get it lol

You will want to use a 500 scale meter, when they call for a ec of 2.0 that ppm will be 1000. Instead of 1400 on a 700scale.

Ok, so my recipe is an even more simplified version of the 321 program. Coco grower, so I use distilled water and silica, as well, but no epsom. I go with, per gallon…

During flower
4-6ml Silica (I increase throughout the grow to slow increase pH over time)

6g Part A

2g Part B

¼ strength appropriate FF Booster

During flower, the plants prefer a slightly higher pH, and increasing the amount of Silica during the grow helps with this. Also, it steengthens the plants, so the branches can support heavier buds.

Since I feed every day, I don’t use the boosters at full strength, ever. They also submarine your pH, and I do my best to mix without having to adjust.

At these ratios, i get around 1,050ppm. I lije to feed a little heavier because I have a small closet I grow in and am blasting it with light.

From seedling to veg, though, I use 4ml silica, and go 4/2 with A&B. A week or so before flower, I will increase the Part A, and at first sign of flower, I start the Boosters.
