Hey All,
Quick question. For the chart below, is it 6tsb per feeding? Or 6tsb per week? So 3tsb per feed?
I plan on giving 1/4 nutrients at first, then 1/2, then full.
Also, when poting up, using 50/50 OF/HF, should I be worried about over nutrients? Technically giving fresh OF and I don’t want to nut burn.
Thanks guys!!

Your babies look great, im guessing around 2 weeks old? They wont need nutrients for a few weeks. Ocean Forest and Happy Frog will get you through 4-6weeks without feeding nutrients

When you do mix nutrients, that schedule is per gallon of water per feeding. And yes it will be too strong at first if you feed what the schedule says. 1/4-1/2 is a good place to start. If you dont have a tds meter, definitely look into buying one so that way you know how strong your mixture actually is

Thank you! They are actually only 9 days old

So I plan on transplanting right into their forever 5g pots. I’m thinking another week, and I’ll do the transfer.
So no nutrients for 4-6 weeks. Roger that. Nut burn and transfer shock is no good, so that’ll give them 2-3 weeks of only water after the transfer:)

FF Trio is usually given on a feed - water - feed schedule.

Yeah with 5 gallon pots I imagine they only need water twice a week. Right? Do you think twice a week feed like FF recommends is too much?
The measurements you’re referring to on the feeding chart are “per gallon of water you’re mixing”.

@CCGrower this is how my GG4 turned out in FFOF soil and liquid trio nutrients. I gave her 3tsp of big bloom, 2tsp each of grow big and tiger bloom. Once we got to the end of flowering, I was giving her 2tsp of big bloom, no grow big and 1tsp of tiger bloom

Wow! So you’re saying these products work then?! Those look like some dense buds right there!
Thanks for the help man.

I’m absolutely saying those products work. I have had nothing but success with Fox Farm products. I use their ocean forest soil every grow along with the liquid trio nutrients. I dont follow the schedule exactly to a T tho. I feed on Sunday usually, let two days pass and water, let another two days pass, water again and let two more days pass and feed. I use a full dose til week 4 of flower, then I lower it a little bit to 2.5tsp of big bloom, and 1.5tsp each of grow big and tiger bloom. The last two weeks of feeding I give 2tsp of big bloom, no grow big and 1tsp of tiger bloom til she’s ready to flush and chop. This is what has worked for me. Not saying everyone will have these same results. I pH everything to 6.5 whether it’s just water, or if I’m mixing nutrients or cal-mag, everything gets pH’d to 6.5. I use two pH pens just to be sure my numbers are accurate and I calibrate the pens once a month. I use syringes and droppers to measure and pour everything, I sterilize everything before I use it too, I keep my grow area as clean as I possibly can. I don’t leave any dead leaves or anything like that in the tent, I wash my hands and change up my shirt before I start playing in the tent too and I wear gloves for everything usually. All this along with all the research I’ve done and continue to do, I believe, is the reason I haven’t had any unsuccessful grows, pests, mold or wpm, hermies, nothing.

The amounts given, whether with or without nutrients, depends on many factors. Pot size is one and so is plant size, temperatures and humidity. But as @JiggaMan1987 's experienced, allowing the pots to dry out for two days is about right. It may take 3 days. Soil definitely needs to dry out a bit and it is important for you to give it the needed amount of time. Based your decision on pot weight and moisture content and not on your prescribed calendar.
@JiggaMan1987 do you also flush? When I used soil and the Trio I had to. Not as often as FF’s schedule shows, but once or twice was a given.

Hey Guys,
I need some more help, and I didn’t want to just make another thread.
Do these guys need to be transferred? Some roots are popping out the bottom, and trying to enter the soil below it! My concern is they are only 10 days old! Do you think I can wait till 04/01? Thats this Friday.
Thoughts? These nursery pots are smaller than solo cups, but a little wider, so maybe I have no more time.
Thank you guys!!

They are not ready to be transplanted yet. In the future, don’t put the little pots in a bigger pot of soil. For now, put a saucer or something else under the little pots so the roots can’t access the soil in the bigger pots.

Yeah I was thinking that, but of course my favorite YouTuber did that, so I thought it was ok. Note to self for next grow. Ill take them off the pot now.
Based on what you are seeing, how much longer should I wait?
I heard that once the leaves pass the edge of the cup/pot, then its time to transfer.
Thanks !

I consider that leaves over the edge of the cups to be hogwash. I like to wait until they get thirsty again the day after a watering/feeding. That tells me that the cup is full of roots to the point where they’re ready to go.
Here’s a pic of my girls at transplant time. You can see the leaves have been over the edges of the cups for quite a while.
And here’s what the roots look like. I feel like I could have waited an extra day or two, but they ended up doing great anyway.

@beardless I hold off on flushing until those last two weeks. I don’t flush during the veg or flowering period until it’s getting to the end. Could also explain the burnt tips on my plants tho, I just don’t see the need to flush as much as fox farm says too. But ur right, my regimen is based on the size of my pots and how much soil is in them. What works for me may not work for all u guys. That’s why u gotta try to figure out what ur plants need by looking at em and seeing how they’re standing, do they look flimsy at all, dry, over or underwatered, are they lacking in nitrogen or calcium, all that stuff really does come into play when I’m feeding and watering
