Foliage regrowing after light cycle changed

From a fellow grower: I have an issue with my plants they are feminized Northern Lights plants growing under a 600 watt light the cycle is currently on 12 and 12 I changed it to 8 hours on a week ago and check them today and it looks to me like that foliage is starting to regrow and they are growing more white hairs they are whiter in the hairs now rather than Brown any idea what the issue is I’m confused?

So, they’re only getting 8 hours of light a day? And they’re regrowing foliage?

There’s definitely some funky foxtails there. Could we get a support ticket filled out please?

Yes this is correct, and I’m unsure why there doing this. I normally grow outdoors this is only my 2nd grow indoor.

They need more than 8 hours of light. I’d guess they’re throwing out more leaves in a desperate attempt to try to catch more light? Just a wild theory. Get them back up to at least 11 hours of light. 12 hours of light and 12 of dark works well. What were you attempting by only giving them 8 hours of light each day?

Well thay are all most ready to harvest, I thought if I dropped the light back to 8hrs an give them more darkness thay would of matured quicker, was that not the right thing to do? I’m only just starting out growing indoor this is all new to me

And how do I do this? What dose all this have to do with it? This is only my 2nd grow indoors if never done it befour

They still need a minimum amount of daylight per day in order to properly complete necessary processes.

Keep your light at 12/12 till you harvest.
