Thank you for the info,
Hello ! Any idea if I use florescent lights to start from seedlings indoor and to take plants outside after a month, what should be the photo period ? I suppose that I should synchronize the light hours with the outdoor conditions, so when I put them outside, no hormonal stress to appear.
You can start a seedling with fluorescent lighting. If you want to go beyond 2 weeks you are going to want several lights or you will end up with a spindly plant. Cannabis needs a lot of light for productive growth.
What about combining fluorescent with sunlight on shady window ?
I went so far with Florescent cool white, for about 4 or 5 weeks, I am talking about auto flower. I change bulbs to warm white, for the rest of the budding period, I realize I will not get a super bud, but I will post the end results.
I grew some of the prettiest plants with 4 /40 watts bulbs but i didnāt flower with them i flowerd with a 400 watt hps
I now into my 7th week, on my Auto flowers plant, the white tassel etc., does it matter if I change my light, Again I am using the fluorescents, I changed from cool white bulbs to warm white, I am still running the lights, 18 hours onā 6 hours off, should I go to 12 on and 12 off???
I would appreciate some thought on this question, 8 weeks and budding on my auto flower plants, I am still on 18 on, and 6 off, on the lighting schedule, does it matter if I stay on schedule or should I go to 12 on and 12 off on light schedule
Auto flowers do not care about light schedule 99% of the time. Every once in a blue moon one is stubborn. But extremely rareā¦
You probably done figured that out, sry such late response sometimes things get overlooked.
Fill free to tag me in future so it pops up in my feed and Iāll be quicker
if I cant help we find someone that canā¦
I have been told, that taking a germinated seed and moving it to miracle grow potting soil is a bad move, because of the 3-month food supply is too much for the new seedling, but when I head to Walmart, or Home Depot, it seems every brand of potting soil has either 2,3,6, or 9months of feeding listed on the bag, SO WHAT IS THE ANSWER< WHAT DO I USE???
Home Depot have Natures organic and natural potting soil come in green bag the organic words are orange its inside
So miracle grow can work and people do successfully use it.
If you have no options, the organics one in black bags would probably be the best pick out of miracle grow soil.
I think it says āfeeds up to 3 monthsā.
Most order soil off line if they canāt find anything locally.
Foxfarms is sold at alot of places, or even if you go to like tractor supply or what shops you have like this. Ask them if they got any āliving soilā or āorganic soilā. They should have somethingā¦
1 HappyPappy,
Thank you for the info, will check out tractor supply, for some reason ILGM, will not honor seed replacement if you use the miracle grow 3 months
Because they offer a āgermination guaranteeā. Its not replacing plants that were screwed due to grower/medium error. They replace seeds that dont start growing.
Tractor supply stores, horse n animal feed shops, n lawn n garden centers carry various soils.
Fox Farms. Coast of Maine, natureās organic are solid soils. Black Kow works in a pince, but be sure its not their time release bag as well. Among a few other brandsā¦
Have you or anyone, have success with Auto flower, I always start them indoors, and then move them outdoors when the weather is right, have been not satisfied with auto flower, I been trying them for about 3 or 4 years now, I would have expected better results, The only thing I can think of, that when you transplant them to outdoors, it must do something to the plant??

Autos are not a good outdoor choice at all. They want light 20 to 24 hours a day. And they donāt like transplanting. Pop seed and plant them in a pot for there complete life cycle.
Iāve only grew auto flowers inside.
From what i gather, if you could plant autoflowers into 5-7 gal pots and set them outside could maybe work better so you didnāt have to transplant inyo the ground.
I grow both autos and photos, and I like photos better.
If i could grow outside it would be photos, autos tend to be smaller and not as reliably consistent.
Do you mean someone from ilgm told you if you used a certain soil it would void the germination guarantee?
Typically they want people to germinate in a glass of water untill the seeds crack open and produce a tail.
Once it has a tail, it has germinated and thats the end of the guaranteeā¦
So it shouldnāt matter what soil a person uses as it gets planted into soil after germinationā¦
I use the water to germinate, when I ask for my replacement seeds for the one that did not make it, They ask me what I transplanted them in , I told them Miracle grow potting soil, they said, that kills the seed, and not to use it, and they would replace the ones I lost. Which made no sense to me, but I like to keep an open mind, Been a farmer for over 30 years, and a degree in agronomy

Yeah i have to agree with you. If this is what they said, i hope they meant something different because that is not accurate ![]()
