Flowering questions from newbie

Your plant in early flower stage seems to be very happy! Looking good.

I just noticed this. What is that? I hope it’s not a hermie

@hooahhhoo. Pluck it off. That’s not a calyx.
You may want to check for light leaks during lights off time.
And keep an eye out for any more showing up.

I’m trying to follow this, but it’s an indoor grow? If so I’m totally out I know nothing about indoor grows but what do you mean by light leaks? Just because I don’t know about it doesn’t mean I don’t want to know LOL thanks

Indoors you have to artificially create “night” for your plants. You do this with 12 uninterrupted hours of darkness. Light leaks are light getting into the tent, closet, whatever that in theory should be completely devoid of light. Door cracks, tent vent holes, etc.

Got it, lol I was thinking a light leak in one of your lines that it was just leaking slightly duh thanks for the enlightenment, why do you choose to do indoor as opposed to outdoor? I for one have no place to do it inside I have a special needs child, LOL I use my outside garden for escape, sanctuary

I am of opposite circumstance. I live in a tightly packed modern layout neighborhood so it’s just not comfortable or smart at all for me to have it outside. My kids also would find it outside. Kids, neighbors, my dogs would find a way in there too. They are not well behaved :joy: inside was my only option.

I’m reading up and listening to all of you talk about indoor grows and it just seems so incredibly complicated, like you have to be on it every second because things could just turn horrendous in a matter of hours… I have to deal with bugs and those damn caterpillars, and powdery mildew but I guess I’m fortunate nothing outside bothers my plants… my dogs don’t even care, I’ve had them over there sniffing on them…just walk away lol, my cat lays underneath my big girl, but it just seems so complicated for Hydroponics, or the indoor closet type things I’ve seen…Thanks for ur time

Your lucky, mine like to chew on everything they find outside. They have ruined quite a few legal gardens! Honestly…I have abused my seedlings since the start. They are healthy and flourishing. Just did some HST yesterday

I am starting to think most of the issues people run into are from too much attention! Bad lights and too much water! My girls are two weeks old today and loving life. No problem. Time well spent.
