Flower day 21 defoliation. How did I do?

I took off quite a bit of leaves and bud sites that look like they won’t make it to the canopy. Not sure if i need to do more. Should I keep going or stop? This is my first time using a net and I got it on late, so it’s just for support.

Looks great to me! Mine got a little butchered pretty much, but I am definitely not the expert. What strains are you growing? They really do look good.

Thanks for the tag @LadyInTheCorner. I normally don’t engage in defoliation conversations as I don’t defoliate, as a general rule. I grow using a net and I remove all shoots/suckers that won’t reach the net, but I let the leaves age and die on their own.

If I need to improve air flow, I sometimes remove some leaves but other than than that I just let them be.

I’m with @merlin44. I only take off dead leaves and some that are blocking budsites if I can’t tuck them away.

Thanks! Acapulco gold from msnl. I love how these plants grow. It’s only my 3rd grow but I’ve already figured out I don’t like short bushy plants lol. Mabey its just my inexperience but last grow both plants were short and bushy and reeeally hard to deal with.

Currently 2 purple kush auto, 2 Gooseberry syrup auto, 1 sour breath @RPgrower seed. And 1 Unknown bag seed

I unlike most everyone else am a butcher .. I hack and slash but that would be why mine stay smaller than most but makes training that I do easier.

General rule I break it but normally don’t take off more then 30% of fan leaves

Hey, I am speaking facts now. That one was naked as a jaybird, but boy, she was good. I get a little tear thinking about how she would have been fully dressed.

I have learned from those mistakes.
