Also since distilled water is at 7 ph and I am in coco coir would that be ok to flush with?
flush with distilled and dont pay attention to the ph of the distilled water. Get your soil run off ppm down to 300-600. anything below 1000 would be fine, but since it looks like your plants have some nitrogen toxicity going on too, i would try to flush it out.
Once your flush is complete, feed right away, but i would adjust your feed and reduce components that give you nitrogen. I am not familiar with your nutrients.
My white widow auto was really sensitive to nutrients.
Ok. So I was able to bring it down quite a bit on Friday with about 2 1/2 gallons each. Do you think is too soon to do a serious flush? Should I wait a few days? Will it shock them? And I am in 3 gallon pots. So I would be looking at about 9 gallons of distilled for a proper flush correct?
it’s not too soon. coco has no buffer. you can wait if you’d like but it won’t shock the plants
edit: also yes about 3-5x the pot volume is a good flush.
Ok, perfect! Thank you so much for your advice man.
no problem. keep posting here with your progress
I will definitely keep you posted!
Ok so I put 9 gallons of distilled water through both my 3 gallon pots. Then fed. Ending count of my runoff has a ph of 6.5 and ppms are low low. 140 on the one 141 on the other. How am I lookn?
6.5 if soil is spot on, for coco you’d prefer it around 5.8
Yeah I think it was still the distilled water that I ran through it. I water with 5.8. And I just calibrated my pen. Hopefully I should be back on track here. Pain in the ass though. Had to dig my netting that I’ve had in there since early on. Girls haven’t been out of the tent in a long time. Stressful day for me and them haha. Thinking a need a bigger tent. 4x2 not cutting it.
Always need bigger right? Lol!
Yea flushing is a pain in the rear end… i hate telling people its that time, then immediately after flushing, they see more deficiency and panic. Never fails…
Hopefully ur getting back into the swing tho.
Ughh… don’t say that! This just turned everything around. They’re gonna be 100% from here on out haha. Just need them to stick it another month or so.
good job. don’t forget to feed her
Alright man I need your advice again. Definitely still showing some issues here. Definitely still having the nitrogen issue and I’ve begun seeing more, and more twisting leaves and leaf edges pointing upwards. Also there is a good amount of bleaching going on, on the tops. I have adjusted my light a little higher up assuming they are burning? I am using sensi grow witch is a 2 part nutrient. I have pretty much cut my nutrients in half. The one plant is starting to show amber tricomes on the outer leaves. And it seems this one has pretty much stopped growing a few weeks ago now. So thst one has been getting overdrive the last week or so ago. The other one seems to have a good ways to go still. The more ripe plant has a runoff PH of 5.1 and ppm 1594. The other ph 5.0 and 1627ppm. High right? Still locked out you think? Should I use the sledgehammer i got? Im wondering if i should just ride it out from here. Also since I am starting to see amber in the one. When will I know to start flushing? I have read in coco I just need a week correct?
Hey man I know you mentioned some experience growing white widow. Did yours start to turn purple on the tops of the buds? Find it an odd characteristic of white widow?
yes i have grown an ilgm white widow that turned purple. mine also had some nitrogen issues, but i also had low night time temps in the 50s that helped bring the color. i chopped mine too early. it looked
more done than her tent mate and i should have waited.
Top pic looks less like N burn and more like a slight P deficiency. Could be pH lockout, could be she just needs a bit more boost.
Looking to be near the end. Id water only the one showing ambers. Ppms will drop naturally
Had me wondering if I had a different strain there for a minute. Thats kinda where I’m at with this one. Definitely further along then the other. I can see ambering showing up on the outer leaves. None on the actual buds though yet. What do you think that lighter coloration is all about?
So pretty much just start giving her just ph’d water for the next week or so and that should do it?
