First-timer / beginner (over/under watered?)

First, apologies if this is in wrong category (I spent long enough trying to find an appropriate thread ).

So, after 47382847 YouTube videos learning about the signs of over/under watering, I’m now Concerned/paranoid that I am over watering. (Keep in mind, I have a ton of houseplants and familiar with the general concept of not watering too much).

Now that I’m over-thinking it, I’d greatly appreciate some feedback!

I do not know what strain this is (the seeds I ordered and received are currently germinating). This 1st grow of mine is actually from a random seed from a random stash I had. More of my “why not give it a try” type grow… And now I’m genuinely interested and invested in the grow and future grows!

Do you think this is over-watered? Top 2 inches are dry, but I just recently transitioned to this 5 gallon fella.

The picture of the light/moisture/pH is set on moisture and reads towards “dry” but I’m scared to water :joy::rofl:. It’s been about every 3 days, I try not to water too much since I don’t think the roots are as well established as I would hope (but I may have correfted that earlier, so I’m definitely second guessing myself with everything)

Any other feedback that is screaming at ya? I’m all ears and receptive to anything ya got.

They will look droopy when they need water or when they have just been watered. Welcome to ILGM forum @Riverton1984.

Awesome! Thank you @Holmes :call_me_hand:

-(not sure) What strain, Seed bank, or bag seed

  • (organic soil) Method: Soil w/salt, Organic soil, Hydroponics, Aquaponics, KNF

-(5 gallon pot/bucket) Vessels: Pots, Grow beds, Buckets, Troths

-(currently using tap water because it’s pH level was ~6.5) PH of Water, Solution, runoff (if Applicable)

-(not much yet, but I have the 3-part fox farm nutrient solutions. I’ve done three waters with a little of the part 1 and part 2 per the guidelines, but with their soil I’ve tried to not over-feed) PPM/TDS or EC of nutrient solution if applicable

-(indoor) Indoor or Outdoor

  • (tiny clip on grow light at nighttime, and pull the pot out by the window during daylight. Providing light 24 hrs currently since the grow light I use is so weak) Light system

-(70-76) Temps; Day, Night

-(not sure) Humidity; Day, Night

-(not yet) Ventilation system; Yes, No, Size

-(-nothing unique to the grow itself. Room is upstairs. House is air conditioned). AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier,

-not sure. If it’s something I’d have purchase then no) Co2; Yes, No

Exactly what type of soil(brand and type). You are going to need more light if you are serious about doing this indoor! There is enough CO2 in air until you get above a certain amount of light so forget that(as long as area is ventilated with fresh air coming in). Humidity is very important to the plant, actually RH. There is a VPD(vapor deficit) chart that shows optimal conditions! You will need a TDS/PPM/EC pen, to check #s but in organic growing things are a little different. If possible you need to dedicate an area so you can control the environmental aspect! Also be careful feeding this early unless you know the soil is depleted, this is why you need TDS pen.
Now there are a few things to address and we will go from there
