First grow using CO2. Closed Room grow medium soil , PPM 1200, Temp 79F, RH 45, PH 5.8. 13 Days into flowering. Expert opinion from the Best of the Best? Thoughts? @moderators
The stains are Girl Scout and Gold Leaf.
Maybe start bumping your pH up. The later in flower they get, the better they do with a slightly higher pH. I like to go from 5.75ish in the beginning, then upward from there, finishing around 6.2-.3. They look great!!
Will do! Thanks for the advice.
Leaves look pretty cupped up.
How intense are the lights.
Never grown with supplemental CO2 but do know they can have a higher ppfd than without
Top of canopy is 35 to 40 DLI. The growth has been thru the roof. I don’t think the leafs have fully fanned out. The leafs lower are nice and green and fanned out
They aren’t getting as intense lighting is why I think anyway
Just keep an eye on it at top
Thanks for the advice.
@moderators: How long should I keep using CO2 during Flowering? I have heard for the first couple weeks, and then heard up until two weeks before harvest? What should I expect?
I’ve never used CO2, but I’ve read that it should be used in the beginning stages of flowering, to approximately the middle.
That’s all I got. Maybe @dbrn32 @peachfuzz ?
@Letsgetit60 Are you using a co2 controller? I tried co2 on this grow but had to shut it down due to high humidity. Had to run the ventilation contentiously in order to control humidity. But I still keep the controller hooked up, and find it handy to know the co2 level in the tent, even though there is little I can do about it. The AC Infinity controller has some good features night time cut off, timer cycles, ppm control, and fan control for high ppm.
I tried using co2 a couple different ways and not sure any of them were successful. I had small bottles and it was such a pain to get them refilled with not much notable difference so I quit using it. But if you’re a believer and using properly, it can and probably should be used throughout the grow at varying levels. Stage of grow, light intensity, and environmentals will play into the recommended levels. From there you kinda have to feel out what makes the most sense for you. I gave up after trying to run at 800, 1000, and 1200ppm. I didn’t have a good setup to run at 1200ppm which is why I gave up and running lower didn’t make any difference in my room.
I tend to only use co2 for the first 6 weeks after light flip , after that im not sure that its that benifcial…
Mind you , i use a propane co2 generator… My flower room and my vegg room are in 2 totally different places , if i was able too , i would run co2 for the last 4 to 6 weeks of vegg and im sure that i would see benefits from that as well , but I’m a water only hydro grower , so my plants grow out of control without the co2 in vegg , but i can definitely see the difference in the first weeks of flower…
If your using tanks , i would suggest buying that drip aragation line with the little holes along the pipe…
They sale it at Walmart…
But weave it threw the top of the canopy back and forth to get the best results from your tanks…
Co2 is heavier than air and will continue to fall to the ground…
I have been trying out a product named exhale co2 bags. They use fungi to generate CO2. I saw it on another members post and started using it a couple months ago. The photo that I have had as a mother has doubled in size since I introduced it, I will continue to use it during flower and we shall see.
Everything is on a control with WiFi controls. I can see everything all day long.
PPM are steady 1,200 to 1,300 thru out the day on the 12 hr. Growth is thru the roof lights are at 1,075 PPFD. Girls are drinking some water. Lots of it.
Done drip line is in place.
Looks good. How many grows have you done. That kind of looks like my first grow!
