Nice vivosun is good cuz 3 year warranty but I have to get ballast every other month cuz they blow up what size is your tent ???
Itās a 4x2x5 but i have a piece up kinda separating it into 3x2x5 they sent an extra removeable floor piece so i was able to hang it in there just right my mini dehumidifier came in this morning so ima run that and see how it works also just bought my materials to scrog just some 1inch pvc with corner couplings and wire garden fencing too soon to put it all together but itās gonna look good from the vision in my head lol have a good day everyone
Why not try LED?
I did but didnāt like it 1200 watt led wall amount 265
So looks like only one of the plants was getting love itās thicker and has more growth then the other one the leaves are perfect shade of green and i have no other problems with ph or anything but should i buy some cal mag Iāve been hearing everyone talk about it does that promote growth
Hereās a pic of each
Weekly update growth has been crazy since putting the second light inside the tent humidity is still high gonna work on lowering it mini dehumidifier works but not strong enough so gonna hook one up in the basement and see if that helps will update again in 4 days
How far are your lights from the top of the plants?
I can see that you only have the Veg switch on,
And I think you can cover very well both plants with just one light for the moment, but i would have both Veg and Bloom switches On.
Having both lights on at this plant size seems like a waste of electricity a bitā¦
The Phlizon 600w is easily long enough to cover those 2 plants at that size.
I used a single Phlizon 600w for the first 6 weeks or so on 4 plants.
I have another light now, and waiting for a third, because on the bigger pots (5gal buckets), the Phlizon and a Bestva 1000w are struggling to cover the canopy.
If electricity cost is not an issue, i would still turn both switches on, just to have more Red in the spectrum, and more light intensity.
The Phlizon, specially in Veg only, has the characteristic of making the plant have really close together nodes, making her ver thick and bushy, a little bit more of red on the light can be great for them.
You aināt lying i looked up forums on here for tight node spacing and mine have them as you can see from the pic the lights are @23ā right now the cable wires used to hang them are long as hell Iāll have to do some readjusting soon for the placement of the filter and exhaust fan so i can get the lights situated i want to order the 2000w Phlizon Cree cob series light in the next week or two Iām hoping that helps my issues being that itās rated at 465w actual draw and still use the Phlizon 600w to fill any spots that need it my main issue right now is humidity i hooked up a dehumidifier in the basement itās a 50pint size at 9am this morning Iām now on my lunch break and i get out at 8 i checked the temp and rh this morning in the tent and Iām at 73 degrees with a 81% humidity Iām hoping it goes down a lil at least by the time i get home thanks bro for sticking around with me thru this @DMD
@DMD what if i used both still but one on veg and one on bloom
Im a total noob too, just about 2 months ahead of you, and it became an obsession, i have been reading /watching videos all day about lightsā¦
I would have the Phlizon 600w at no more than 18 inches, and with BOTH switches On all the time, with one plant centered below each light.
Maybe 16 inches when the plant is a little bigger.
Each phlizon 600w will cover a 1 ft x 1.5 ft for really good vegetative growth, but for flowering you will want much more power.
The 2 COB Phlizon 1000 is not going to be good enough for 2 plants side by side eitherā¦
At least it will not make a big difference, unless you are running the 2 600w alongside to help, and that will be using a lot of energy without the best effectsā¦
I was at some point going to pull the trigger on a Phlizon 2000w with the 4 COBs, something like 300 usdā¦
Im guessing you are looking at the 1000w with 2 COBsā¦ At around 170 usd?
Right now, i wouldnāt buy another Phlizon, at least until they sare selling some sort of high efficiency quantum board design.
Im guessing you have already heard about the HLG quantum boards, but this lights from Mars hydro look very good for relatively very little money, and would be perfect for 2 plants side by side

The node spacing on my plants was so tight and close together with the Phlizon 600w, that i decided to top them over the 5th node, because it was just too weird at the 3rd, i wish I had took some pics
You being in the future helps me lol ok i was gonna but the one with 4 cobs the 299.99 one on amazon 2000w i seen the qb ones They look good as far as building my own light thatās a no Iām sure i can do it i used to wire circuit breakers when i was younger but Iād rather buy something with a warranty behind it Iām gonna look into the mars light you sent it looks pretty good thanks for the replies have you done lst yet based on my pics from last night do you think itās time i started the plants are about a foot tall and they are bushy i was thinking maybe i could take a leaf or two off a few of them are bigger then my head lol
That Mars light is about the best plug and play, cheap, good spectrum, enough power light i have found so far, and apparently MarsHydro is a well known brand with years of experience , so reliability shouldnāt be an issue, and they do offer a good warranty.
HLG also offers a warranty for the QB kits, and they seem easy enough to try, but they are a more expensive option.
I think the Mars is something like 90% as good as an HLG while being around 70% of the HLGs price.
The plants look big enough for topping, if you arenāt interested in taking a clone from the topsā¦
Im also about to start the LST, but im currently waiting for some new soil+coco coir+perlite to put my plants on bigger containers, as they probably are out of space on their 3 gal pots, so im putting them in 5 gal paint buckets that i drilled and cleaned for them.
Patience is the only thing that you canāt buy
You sure canāt Iām amazed on how these ones are growing i used hps lighting before and the 6 crops i did none of the plants really filled in like these ones are they even have a amazing smell to them already i do want to take clones but i might donthat next round i got a 12 pack of these seeds the next batch i plan on buying a dwc kit and seeing how it works never grown without soil before but Iām sure it can be done
Itās great when they start smelling like plants, i love that smell!
I canāt trust my electric provider enough to try hydroponics or anything that relies on anything automated, electricity comes and goes around here (countryside) and my plan is to get something like a 600w solar panel kit+batteries, solely to power a grow tent, so im doing as much research as possible on the most energy efficient illumination system, and HLG is on the top of my list for nowā¦
I wish i knew before what i āknowā now, i would had given that Mars Hydro a shot on my first grow.
Now all i can think about is how much light a fixture produces for every watt it consumes.
I loved the Phlizon for Veg, and im going to keep it only for that in the future.
Flowering is going to be my next challenge from now on really, and its getting stressful but always fun and rewarding this growing hobby
Im hoping to get anything around 0.8 gr x watt used in lights, but im probably 2 months away to be thinking about that
How about this light along with my two Philzon 600s you think Iāll be good for flowering @DMD

Another 70 bucks and you can build one 4x that light. Just saynā¦
That light truly looks worse than the COB from Phlizonā¦
Jbum is right, for what Iāve read, a well put together modern QB design is going to be up to 4x better.
As in producing 4x more light intensity per watt used than a cheap chinese light.
If you keep on buying cheap chinese lights, you are going to end up using the same or even more electricity than with HPS/CMH/etc, and the cheapest usually are broken after a year of useā¦
And thatās exactly why i keep suggesting the Mars Hydro, because itās a QB, just one that is built in China, using Epileds instead of Samsung chips wich are marginally better but more expensive.
This smaller one is 150usd, and will still beat the Niello cheap COB lightā¦ Using half the energy.
Plug and play, with a warranty.

Here is a build I just did if you want to check it out. Any questions feel free to reach out.
Or just build your own, it is much easier than it sounds, and you are going to end with the best possible light for the money.
