We shall see @fano_man if they pull out of it. Ph still came out low, but i didnt feed any of the Grow Big which has a 6 N value. Although Cha Ching has a 9 N value. Maybe the combo of the two after a flush was too much for it? But Grow Big is off the nute schedule next week anyway so I’m hoping the issue will go away
If you got a ph problem you can have alot more then a magnesium issue theres 2 sides to a ph problem to high to low… and both will show different deficencies… but it’s common to give a lil to much nitrogen in flower … it’s good to pay attention to the numbers of every bottle add up your nitrogen percentages in your grow regiment …and add up the nitrogen in your flower regiment …m your nitrogen in veg should be considerably higher then n levels in flower… nitrogen is generally used a lil less in flower because jot as many leaves or growing it’s more focused on buds and that takes a different ratio then making leaves… if you start with good dirt and your phing your mix you shouldn’t have ph problems unless your feeding with synthetic nutes and you dobt do periodic flushes … I recall you doing flushes…
Also yes you can mainline clones but your right they do stager nodes but it’s just a lil slant to the right or left to co operate for the unevenness instead of the trunk branches of the manifold being directly across from each other they are staggered anlil… jo biggie… the plant will still have that upside down umbrella shape you just need a lil more tweaking but all in all same finish line
That’s a mainline purple haze clone… they have a lil gangster lean to the right or left when there first starting to split
So, the only other “flush” i did was right before flower, but…i only used 4 gallons because i was scared lol. So it probably didn’t really flush anything out.
Naw … you definitely did flush some … when you do a flush do it slow… and I never do the 3x amount seems over kill to me aswell
They look good today. White Widow #2 has lightened up a little bit. Bubba Kush seems happy too, although I’m worried about the lack of fan leaves from the mag issue. But we will see.
I don’t know if you can see in the pictures, but i made a “flush station” with a bucket. Used some 1/2 ID hose, drilled a hole in the bottom corner of the bucket and hot glued the end of the hose in, then used 1/4 ID hose at the end with a bunch of small holes poked in it to wrap around on top of the soil. I use those plant ties to stake it into the soil and lift it off about 1/2 inch so the holes don’t clog with dirt
You can see it in use in this pic
The bucket holds about 2.5 gallons safely and takes about 5-10 minutes(completely guessing) to drain.
I got my second 4x4x80 tent set up and connected the two so i can use one fan to exhaust both tents.
That’s cool so it’s like a lil collar you throw in the pot and fill the flush bucket and it trickles into the flush patient… that’s cool and it’s pretty set it and forget …when your adding that much wate sometimes the top of the pot gets backed up and you gotta take a lil breakand let the water subside… maybe you can put a lil inline butterfly valve so you can throttle the water flow a lil if this begins to happenor get a lil peice of rubber something that won’t go down the line in the bucket to partially block it for a quicker way to throttle down like a a wood chip a peice of mulch or something… something not perfectly round so it dosent fully block the water… also about the tent ventilation I cant see all angles but without seeing I’ll say the first tent that is pulling passive air from outside the tent say at the bottom… the next tent should be joined up at the top duct start across and the suction from that tent should be st the bottom duct this way you will get nice mixing action with your air flow… bottom to top tent one …then top to bottom tent 2 and out
Yea as far as the “flush station” its the second version, the first had garden hose at the bottom, but it flowed way to quick, hence the 1/4 tubing instead. I haven’t had any issues with the pot filling up to quick. The holes are small enough to prevent that and the reduced size helps too.
I had to adjust the ventilation many times. I have the first tent with inlet at the bottom opposite the connection to the second tent, then straight across like you see in the picture. Inside the second tent connection, i got a 6" y duct connector, connected the straight end to the first tent hose, left the second leg of the y open inside the second tent, then connected the other side to the suction side of the fan. Then the exhaust of the fan goes out the top of the second tent so its a straight shot through, but the intake for the second tent is on the bottom, on the opposite side. So bottom to opposite top, opposite bottom to opposite top. If that makes sense.
Ok I c that would work also so your pulling passive from both and venting out from the y … that’s the other way to skin the cat… do you have a carbon in each tent or just one on the back side if the exhaust before it dumps outside… you know well did you know that some carbon filters are made to pull and some are made push through just something wasent aware of till I was told
Got side x side t3nts just like that but I only p ull from side and circulate the hot air into my veg and back into the flower room
So you recirculate the air? Where does it vent out?
Do you feel that your pulling more air from the shorter run of the y being it’s the path of least resistance I use the lighter check method I light a lighter and hold flame by the intakes and see how close I gotta get to out the flame if ones… 6inches and outside and the other is 2 inch and it outs you might wanna squeeze the free flowing a lil with a bungee or something till the flames out at the same distance… dobt wanna find out the hard way your not getting enough exch an genin one of the 2
Yea, temp seems to be staying where it was before the second tent. I didnt havr the y piece at first, and just had the exhaust fan disconnected inside the second tent. So i thought it would be enough to pull air through the connection between the tents, but i was very wrong. Came in to check on it after about 2 hours, and the flower tent leaf temps were 90° F. But i also moved the heater in front of the intake in an attempt to heat the incoming air, but didn’t think about the fact that the thermostat on the heater is going to read colder because of the passive intake. So the combo of the two got all messed up. Thats when i switched the intake to the opposite side of the tent, and got the y to make sure the pressure is enough.
Also, i had thought the same thing about the resistance difference, and i blocked the 2nd tent intake about half, to increase resistance compared to the fully open 1st tent intake. I will try the lighter trick tomorrow, i used a plastic shopping bag to make sure it was pulling air at least. But didn’t go any further.
Seems like your aware tho so you probably got it pretty even… what are using a 6 inch inline?
Yea. Infinity CLOUDLINE series. I’m still green, so i pay very close attention to my plants. Probably too much at times. But it allows me to catch issues sooner rather than later if they occur. Plus i enjoy it
Well your main lining with perfection so if your able to do that with success your basicly pass in ng the class of plant training …ventilation… light… nutes
Well, I spent a good portion of the day finding a solution for the two tent ventilation.
I still had to double the fan speed to get enough airflow from the first tent. Which made it nearly impossible to keep the humidity inside the veg tent. So i closed up the end of the y pipe in the veg tent by about 1/2-3/4 of the opening. Then i was thinking about the flower tent getting too hot because of the heater and intake. So i closed up the intake by the heater and opened it on the other side like the picture. But leaf temps kept getting to like 81.
So i was watering Candyland today and had a brilliant plan to make the tent a pretty even temp. I hung a small fan in the center of the tent, just under the canopy at about soil level. I hung it flat, facing down towards the floor, and about 2 feet from the heater so the heat from the heater would get blown at the floor and under the plants, then up the sides of the tent where the circulating fans are, then it would get blown over the canopy, thus creating the best distribution of heat i can get.
So far it seems to be keeping perfect temp. Leaf temps are 75° F. This is what the setup is like now.
