Is it normal for seedlings to grow in “slanted with a purplish stem” 24 hours after planting the strain is blue haze sorry I’m just a beginner and I want to make sure I’m doing this correctly we’ve invested so much and want this to go correctly lol

yes this looks normal to me…that cap is pretty heavy, once it falls off she will straighten up
Thank you for the reassurance one more question if you don’t mind how often should I be watering at this stage I use a mist hose when I do water very lightly
that is a good option so keep doing it…I like to keep the soil moist… but not wet at this stage
I’d try to gently pull off that helmet. I use a dental tool I have laying around to pry it off.
I’ve read that happens if you don’t plant the seed deep enough, but I don’t know about that. Supposedly growing through the soil is what pulls them off.
Awesome because that’s exactly what I did I used some tweezers to gently take them off thank you for your input
I like to use 2 toothpicks I can put one on each side of the split seed cap and pop it off if needed.
You can also use stick pen and you want to be easy pulling in them happy growing
I’m sure it was that because I saw someone of the many tutorials I’ve been seeing to do about half an inch hole so it wasn’t that deep tbh and the stem was pretty long I only put a very light layer of soil on top lesson learned lol hopefully it straightens out okay
@JENNYLYN95 can u keep me posted im interested in how vlue it will b if it is already starting off with color
Yes of course I’ll keep you posted
My zkittlzz that I bought through ilgm sprouted fine but I stunted their growth by misting daily. The couple that I didn’t mist daily are doing significantly better than the others. For those I only went the soil when putting in the seed and let it go till soil was dry a week or so later. Roots need to search for water.
As far as the helmet is concerned I had the same issue with my twenty20 Mendocino seeds. Their germination and planting video said use just enough water in soil that you can grab a handful and squeeze with not more more than a few drops of water being squeezed out for soil. Then to use like a sharpie to make a small hole about a half to 3 quarter of inch deep, put tap root down/seed up, and then use dry soil to fill in the remaining hole. It will moisten up a little bit also puts let’s stress on growth upwards due to less compact soil . I had a helmet on each one of those during that technique. Had to really carefully pop them off myself.
I think next time I plant seeds I’m going to use same technique but make the hole a bit deeper. Maybe an inch .
Hi there. welcome. Don’t put light too far, she is looking for it. You don’t want her to get ‘spindly’ .
That’s what I thought to so I measured the par with the Photone app for it to be a little over 200 just now and moved down my lights they are now 18 inches away from the LED lights do you think that’s okay? Don’t want them to stretch out or burn
Go by the par meter. Keep an eye on them. They look dandy.
