First time fail.... kinda defeated but I'll try again :(

I use cal mag 3ml per gallon of water and have no issue with it

@roaddawg714 Thank you! I’ve been trying to read and was planning on stopping at my local garden store to see what they had tomorrow. I’m not going to wait to try to order something online. They had the Fox Farms HF so I’m sure they’ll have Cal Mag probably… hopefully… lol

This is what I use

@roaddawg714 Much appreciated! Having a visual reference for when I go tomorrow is helpful :smiley:

Now I want you to know that I’m a noobie I have experience in the woods second time indoor hopefully that will help have a great day my friend

These are my first 2 wwa I ever have tried to grow

@roaddawg714 Yours are looking pretty good too!

Hey @Covertgrower and anyone else. Looking at that picture do you agree it looks maybe like a calcium issue?

Good morning and happy Monday everyone!

I would double check for pests.

@Covertgrower I totally inspected the tent and plants and didn’t see anything.

Would you recommend maybe something like neem oil or whatever?

I’m trying to be proactive

First off, your doing great. They’re stunted but they will help you learn still and they will give you bud.
You may want look into fox farm sledgehammer. I would use a few drops in every watering to help break the hydrophobic tendency of the peat moss in the happy frog along with other benefit. It’s also used for scheduled flushes in the fox farm schedule. Do you have the schedule?
IMHO, You’ll want to start reducing the amount of grow big and introducing tiger bloom since flower is starting
Do you have a ph and test meter? You’ll definitely need those.

Look hard on the underside of the leaves. Use a magnifying glass or your phone camera zoomed in. Believe me, some bugs like spider mites are so small, they can be hard spot. Hopefully it’s just a need for calcium and cal mag will help you there as stated above.
If they give you grief on returning your king light, it’s really not a bad light. I have a 1200. It’s not a flowering light but it’s a handy extra veg light when I need it. It does heat the tent up more than my HLG’s though. I’d return if able but if not, it’s usable.
Happy growing :v::green_heart:

@GreenJewels Man, thank you so much for the vote of confidence. It’s been a nail biting experience, that’s for sure! Especially in the beginning.

I’ll absolutely look for pests again later and maybe get some Neem.

I had no problem returning the light. Amazon is awesome about that stuff.

I don’t have sledgehammer, but knew I should probably get it and just hadn’t yet. I’ll check the store today. I also do NOT have a ph meter or test supplies. I probably should invest in those as well.

So with today being day 35 I think from going into the soil, which is in week 5 of the growth cycle. I did plan on introducing the tiger bloom cause the chart shows 2tsp per gallon starting week 5ish. Thanks for reminding me though!! Looks like I’m supposed to keep using Big Bloom though and I’ll be mindful to not over feed.

You have no idea how much I appreciate all of you! I already have plenty of things I’ve learned and can’t wait for round 2!

I’ll just need some suggestions on seeds to try :grin:

@GreenJewels

So I went to my local garden store. They don’t have cal mag or anything like that :frowning: Also, they’re out of pH meters and test stuff! What the heck! Haha

Anyways, I did get a bottle of Neem spray for now at least. If anyone knows a reliable, easy and not to expensive pH test thing I can order online someplace that’d be fantastic if you could link something.

Also, as for the Cal Mag, think I can get away with super blending egg shells for now or should I try to order cal mag from someplace online also?

Also, they didn’t have sledgehammer :sob::sob: they have the trio but not the flush :sweat_smile: damnit… looks like I’ll be looking online for that as well

You guys rock :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The girls can’t uptake that form of calcium (calcium carbonate) Egg shells must be crushed, heated up then placed in vinegar so you’ll have soluble calcium acetate. There’s videos about it and I think @budbrother posted one. I’ll find it if you want, but that’s probably more than you wanna get into right now.
You probably need to find a local grow shop instead of a garden shop.
A lot of people use blue lab or apera meters.
Amazon has most the things you’ll need like cal mag and meters.
If you find yucca cheaper than sledgehammer, it’s the same thing basically, salonin.
I hope I answered your questions. Don’t hesitate to tag me if you like. I am not real dependable at being around, but I do check in every few days and always check tags first.
@PurpNGold74 has taught me a lot and is always willing to lend advice too.
Happy growing :v::green_heart:

Epsom salt is a great source of Magnesium. Its what Ive been using lately.

I believe Silica (raw) is my source of Calcium. What nutrient line are u using? Some have it in the nitrogen.

@Budbrother put me on the epsoms too

Oh big bloom is great and hard to over do. It’s the grow big you need to be careful of and use as directed

@GreenJewels You’ve been amazing for sure, can’t thank you enough.

So!! Good news is that I literally just discovered there’s an actual dedicated hydroponic grow store less than a mile from my job. Called the guy up and he has everything I need, including the sledgehammer stuff. I’ll pick up the cal mag, sledgehammer and pH meter on my way home tonight. I got the Neem oil spray from Agway, but I dont want to use it yet as the instructions say to wait till dark hours to avoid light damage.

Now I’m getting excited :grin:

That’s awesome news!

@PurpNGold74 I’ve been using just the fox farms trio, mostly as directed but watered down as I read the schedule apparently is too strong

I guess for next grow I can try the egg shells super blended and tilled into the soil when I FIRST plant. I know it’s too late now and probably need more urgent care like the cal mag so we’ll see! :grin:

If you Google the website homestead and chill neem oil emulsion, they have a real good write up on neem and organic cannabis pest management
It’s my pleasure to help. You’ll find most around here are great at helping.
And my fat fingering must have spelled saponin wrong. :grin::v::green_heart:
