First time fail.... kinda defeated but I'll try again :(

I stunted my growth by smoking cigarettes in my early youth and look how great I turned out! Why, I’m almost 5’ 8”

I’m sure you’re girls will do fine in the end

i just scrolled back up to find out how old these girls are. if i read this right, they were “out of the ground” on 4/20? so, at a month old, i wouldnt nec say they are stunted. i didnt measure mine at the 30 day mark, but i do know i too had a slow start. they were perhaps in the 7-8" height at taht time. i have a “guide book” that i purchased when i first started (have since tossed, since the information HERE is so much better. but that “guide” stated, that at 4 weeks, my plants should be 14". i was devastated cause mine were no where near that. reading further, they considered the seedling or clone phase to be outside this timeline so they were “starting the clock” at a 4-6 inch seedling for week one. hmmmm,

so, just want to re-iterate, yours look fine at this point. i was about in that size range in REAL time 4 weeks. i am on day 50 now and with a recent topping i am in the 14-16" hieght (they have EXPLODED in the last two weeks).

Look for hairs coming out of your pistols at the lower nodes to see that they are showing sex. i am on the fence as to whether they are pre-flowers yet. i would need probs another week to be sure (cause duh, i am a newbie).

i would say, to GET READY. the next two weeks should be a nice surprise if you keep going

I germinated the seeds in a paper towel, and once they had “popped” they went into the soil on 4/20. I don’t remember what day they came out of the soil, but it was within a couple days @JackAndSan

I super appreciate the vote of confidence however :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Is it true that indica strains tend to be shorter anyways than saliva?

I started with the GDP because I really want a nice indica. I’m open to suggestions as well on what to try next!

I shattered my T9 vertebrae last year, so pain management is important to me lol

Haha *SATIVA… stupid autocorrect

So I was super careful and attempted my first go of a bit of LST for the babies.

I literally just watered them… and I think I may have to water one if not two of them tomorrow. I was going to wait till Monday… but I dunno.

We’ll see how they adapt to the training over the next week or so :person_shrugging:

Looking good man. They look healthy. Just because of some mix up or over watering they are not gonna be permanently stunted looks like they are going to shine and bring you some big buds.

@Bighead500 Believe me, I was stressing in the beginning lol. I still kind of am, but less so. If anything now at least I know I CAN do it. Now it’s just a matter of making it happen and seeing this first grow through.

Everyone has been amazing with help as well

Trust me we all know the stress of that first grow and checking in your plants every hour. We have all been here before the good thing is we’re are all here to help each other so everybody can succeed and have that great grow they were hoping for. That’s why I love this website. Everybody is just amazing.

@Bighead500 That’s what I’m beginning to see. I really have enjoyed myself here so far and “meeting” you all. It’s a lot of fun to see everyone else’s plants as well.

Good luck @ThermoNukePanda wish you the best .

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a fantastic and relaxing weekend! Please read through to the end as I may have an issue you all can help with!

Day 34 from germination and into their pots… I checked on the babies today to see if they’ve adapted at all to the very basic LST I attempted. Here we go! I watered all of them again this afternoon earlier as they we dry and ready it seemed. Watered all with 40oz each of my water combined with 3tsp each of grow big and big bloom/per gallon.

#1) Huey

The girl that started this whole panic situation making me feel like a tard has filled out. She’s the busiest, but also seems the droopiest. I see a liiiiitle bit of female pistils coming out possibly on lower nodes? It’s hard to take pictures though. She’s just… well… bushy. Seeing other people’s pictures and talk of removing leaves and stuff makes me wonder if I should try a little, but haven’t cause they’re autoflower. :person_shrugging:

#2) Dewey

Dewey is looking decent I guess? I definitely see what I think are pistils on lower nodes, and looks like it’s spreading out nicely with the light tension from the cheater chopsticks my woman had the bright idea of using for LST  At least the pandas are appropriate!

#3) Louie

Oh Louie… what can I say about you? You seem to be the ace of the bunch. I have NO idea what I’m doing, but I think the it’s adapting super well to the LST and spreading out nicely. I have no idea about stages yet and what to look for, but I’m pretty sure Louie is maybe preflower? I have no other way to think judging by looking at what’s forming from those nice separations.

Here’s my issue with Louie…

I noticed this on ONE leaf so far on Louie… any ideas?

They’re all still on 18/6 cycle as well.

Do I have the right idea for LST?

@Chip303 Thanks a lot! :slight_smile:

What are the little brown dots on that leaf ? Soil, bugs ? Not the brown your asking about but when I zoom in I see brown dots on surface like little bugs or something.

Is this what you are talking about on the leaf

Yes that’s it.

@BetrayedSoul @roaddawg714

Thanks for looking guys. So I went and looked, and as far as I can tell it’s just random dirt specks. I played with them quite a bit past two days with bending and LST I guess.

I don’t think they’re bugs, although that’s a big fear of mine as I have NO idea how to combat any problems

Light burn maybe?

Could be a simple deficiency but I realy cant tell. Hopefully someone else can explain.
Possibly calcium but I’m not sure.

Hmmmm… reading through the trouble shooting stuff on here it really might be a calcium deficiency.

This… scares me. I don’t know what to buy, or how to apply it. I guess I’ll have to read more later but ANY help is appreciated guys!
