First seeds from ilgm

This is my first grow of seeds from this website so I’m excited to see the outcome. These were planted feb 1 2019, this is a picture of them 18 days later. So far I have lost 1/6 so I have 5 that sprouted. Two blackberry kush, two banana and one mango.

In fox farm ocean forest soil and light foliage feedings so far. My question is do they look leggy? I’m not sure if they are too far from the light or not enough wind. Thoughts anyone?

Looks like a good start. FYI Ocean Forest is hot soil and contains everything the plant needs. Suggest you discontinue feeding. There’s a bit of stretching. You might want to bring your light down a bit closer.

I agree with @Myfriendis410, bring the light closer, there stretching. When you transplant them you can bury the stem so they are not so leggy.

The others have you covered, just wanted to congratulate you on not overwatering. Great job, @Kratos and welcome to this awsome forum.

Thanks you guys appreciate the feedback any suggestions on how long to wait before I transplant?

@Kratos I usually wait until the outer edges of the leaves reach the edge of the pot you have them in. I dont like to let them get to big as i worry bout them getting root bound.

I typically pot up to an intermediate size two weeks after sprouting. The roots have started to wrap by then if you have not over watered them (as you clearly have not!). I peek at the roots to determine the exact time to transplant.

Yea I put two into clear solos and into a blue one so I could have something to gage off.

Saw that too. Your watering practices look good so far.

You just want to watch that the tap root doesn’t exit the Solo cup as it will break off in transplant. Your plant will suffer through it’s whole grow. Best to catch when they are starting to wrap around the cup like @merlin44 suggested. Transplanting multiple times is actually easier (for me) than going right into the final home. It allows me more watering control which is critical now. Small pots can also be crowded under one light instead of multiple ones; saving money.

@Kratos roots lookn good. I agree with @Myfriendis410, Its easierto transplant multiple times. I go about 3 times transplanting and end up in a 7 gal fabric pot.

You “can” top them now. I wait about another week, but that’s me.
Be careful spraying plants while the lights are on. It’s easy to burn the leaves unless you’ve turned the lights wayyyyy down.
Looking good.

You can but I would probably wait until they are a couple of inches taller. Too tight to the soil layer makes em tough to water.

I agree with the others, if I were a “topper” I would wait a bit longer.

Your plants are looking very nice, keep up the good work.
