My plants are turning yellow from the bottom and it’s spreading quickly. I’m SUPER NEW to this. I just ordered my Ph/moisture meter (should be here tomorrow) but any ideas what this could be???
Welcome @Firstimer, looks like they have been ready to move up to a bigger pot.
Do you feed them regularly or just water so far?
Also it would be near impossible to water correctly in a solo cup. The solo cup challenge is really for advanced growers IMHO.
What light do you have? Do you have soil and larger planters ready?
Looks like a bit of two things.
One is overwatering. Your soil looks drenched. And often new growers dont realize overwatering is less too much water, more water too frequently. Weed soils like the drought to flood method. Allow it to dry out completely before adding more water.
The second issue u maybe seeing is like mentioned above, rootboundness. Normally when the plants leaves extend over the edge of the pot/cup, its time to uppot
Most likely out of nutes. The girls need a transplant immediately. Also do look overwatered based on the sagging of leafs.

Ok, I have everything already to move them. I’m gonna do it today and set up the watering system to prevent this from happening again!!
And I haven’t fed them yet. Just water. I wanted to start small and expand my inventory as I go. Mostly because I wasn’t fully sure what I was going to need.

@Firstimer I had this light. Is not going to help you. Is not sufficient. Also your plant needs less water. . And a bigger home. If you going to continue in this cup. There is a lot of work you got to do to keep this plant in good shape. I suggest you get them into a new home. She need food too. But that light got to go. . I upgraded to a viper spectra light and it improve the room 100%. They are under 100 dollars and is a good 100 watts light. This china lights are not 100 as advertised. They not even 50watts.
As stated, that light won’t be enough for a grow. Cannabis demands intense lighting. A good rule of thumb is 40w/sqft. A lot of companies are about to have 420 sales also.
If it is one of the combo probe meters, cancel the order. PH is incredibly important and those things are not reliable at all. Apera and BlueLab, are incredibly dependable and accurate.
So, as it stands…

Transplant to a bigger pot of cannabis friendly soil such as Fox Farms, Roots Organics, etc.

Upgrade lighting. Mars Hydro has a good budget line called the G series. HLG is primo. Either way, lighting isn’t something to skimp on.

PH and TDS meter(s). These are two of the most important tools in the belt. TDS meters are cheap. The more functionality, the more expensive a pH meter can get. The brands mentioned make combo meters and many can read to the hundredth decimal.

I’m going to go ahead and take a look at that, but is the light you’re talking about an LED? I’m doing this indoors, so I’m trying to make sure I control the heat output.

I am using 2 Mars Hydro T-1000 full spectrum LEDs. They are 150watts each, dimmable and they will cover 2x2 area each on the low end of recommended lighting. As with most good quality lights, I can(and do) remove the ballast and it runs outside the tent. They are a little over $100.00 on Amazon.
You can see here in my current set up the lights with their drivers removed.
That is a regular shop light also added for the sprouts.
I am hoping soon to upgrade to HLG so I can use more of the 4x8 floor space in the tent.
