Here we go, had a little longer than an inch of a tap root, paper towel dried a little so I went for it. Gently laid the seedling inside the Rockwood, closed it back up and surrounded with hydroton. Water is a nice broil with the air pump running, pretty happy with the setup so far. 9 and a half gallons of water with 25% nutrient solution for seedlings, with pH adjustments, puts me at 5.79 and 246 ppm. Water level is about an inch below the bottom of the net pot, and I was able to confirm that the hydroton is getting nicely misted from the bubble action. I had the lights on to work, turned them back off until she stands up a little out of the rockwool, then will be going at max dim to start with light.
I am super excited

I also have a small led grow lamp that I use to start seeds in early April for my outdoor plants, I could employ this to get her started before blasting her with the HLG goodness

Thanks bud, I’m hoping the SS design really shines cause I’m ready to pull the trigger on 3 more and another 320xl to fill that tent up

Rigged my small starter led lamp, just enough to get her going…thoughts?
I used this thing to start some seeds in soil 2 years in a row now in April before it was too cold to go outside…any reason not to use it to get this girl started?

Should work fine as a starter. I have one almost identical that I used for the same purpose.

Wonderful! I hoped this silly little light I got would come in handy and it certainly has!
Opening up, pH in the water had shot up to above 6, brought it back down to 5.75 this morning before going to work for a few hours

I’m glad I only went with one plant rigjt now because one of my outdoor plants needs to be harvested asap due to bud rot, and I’m going to use the tent to dry the washed buds in
