Keep on rocking brother

  1. List item

Soil blast microbe tea really helps with growth and color , only been ferted twice with fox farm grow big and big bloom. Lighter side of a Normal dose per container Instructions . just water, tea, light 18/6 my brother and his girl were surprised by the color and stout stems when I dropped them off. I just try to keep it simple. Less problems and my outdoor never needed much. Light water and tea

@BigJ, Before long you will be wishing for more space, I know it looks bare now but, from what I have seen, watching and reading the grow journals, 4 can get out of control and fill the space. Looking good brother :+1::+1::+1::+1::+1::+1:

@repins12 just wanted to share this pic of last summer 2018. Bubba kush - not real huge but was really

good smoke , long burning and long lasting affects. Lol

@BigJ, Awesome. I have had some that I purchased. Really liked it and really dug the high. Can’t wait to see how mine will turn out, when I get to the point when I have photos in my tent. I wanted to do 2 runs of autos to get any bugs worked out of my set up. I didn’t realize that they were going to such a pain in the a** to get going. The first one that I started in cheap soil before I got my set up together, no problem. The other 5, I used Light Warrior from Fox Farms in my solo cups and have had a difficult time getting them to shed the shell of the seed. Only 2 of the 5 are growing at the moment, one has just not broke soil, the other 2 came up and looked like a stem with a seed on top of it. I was able to get the shell off of the first one of these and it looked promising for a few days then DOA. The second, I’m just gonna let Mother Nature decide if the shell comes off. I’m gonna try to start 3 more when I get back from my mom’s on Friday. This time I will go back to the cheap soil that worked the first time. If it works, gonna ditch the Light Warrior for sure. If I don’t have better luck, I may only be doing one run of autos. Your plants are looking good brother. I’m interested to see how much space they fill up

@repins12 I use nature’s care Organic green bag from Home Depot for seedlings Pretty cheap and I have had issues with seedlings doing the same thing I let them go for so long and keep misting them to help soften them and use a tooth pick to help it little bit each day till it pops off , sometimes there will be like a skin holding the starter leaves together and I do the same thing mist it let it sit a minute and then the tooth pick very gently. Usually works. I did have one that had a hard time with shell and I helped it , it popped open the leaves looked really good , then did nothing after that. After 3 weeks it died , I tossed it in the corner for two weeks… Bone dry , all wilted brown and yellow , I accidentally spilled some water on it while watering the others and it came back and is doing good. It’s small from being in small clear lol cup for so long… but it is now in a pot doing nicely. These seeds can be funny sometimes

@BigJ, Yeah not so bad when it’s bag seed. Kinda a bummer when it’s paid for seed. I reckon it is what it is. I appreciate your advice, I have tried all of those tricks and even went out and bought dental picks and tweezers with different tips on them. I guess that I just didn’t realize it when I was starting 100-150 plants to tote up in the mountain. Like I said before, I used to grow quite a bit outdoors but, mostly guerilla style. I put out a bunch of patches 10-15 plants, usually in the middle of a briar patch, in an attempt to keep out undesirables. Worked pretty good for a while. Somehow with all of my covert efforts used in entering and exiting. I started getting hit on a regular basis. That sucks when I tried to maintain my crop at least twice a week. At first, I just wrote it off as part of the game. Then I started to get pissed as the years went on. I finally bought some deer trail cameras and caught the thieving fks. I dealt with them swiftly, with a little bit of Southern Justice. They never had any idea who I was. This started to happen more and more frequently. I decided to try this indoor growing before I got myself into a pickle. I sure wish it was leagal in my state. I would grow more on my property. I pitty the poor mother effer that comes in my yard. I have it posted all the way around with no trespassing and beware of dog signs. Everyone in the neighborhood knows, if you don’t know my dogs, don’t come in my yard unless, I am home and I am expecting you. Sucks that it has come to this but, then again, it is what it is. Didn’t mean to go off on a rant brother but, mother f*ing thieves piss me the eff off. On a lighter note, it sounds like we have both dealt with the same issues. Personally, I glad to have met you and had the opportunity to chat

Sorry if my previous post offended anyone. I’m just not a Happy Camper, when some lazy you know what decides that he deserves the fruit of my labor more than I do. I hope that all is well in weedville, y’all have a wonderful evening and I hope that you and yours have a very Happy Thanksgiving in the am. @BigJ, you are kicking a** and that’s what it’s about, not kissing it. @repins12 thank you , so far I’ve been able to grow just about anything. Vegetable garden is usually out of control. Lol. I’ve enjoyed the chats it’s been nice meeting you , hopefully some day your area will legalize, my area is still in the it’s Legal now how do we manage it phase. I plan on keeping this tent thing going as long as I can and figure out a better secure way for an outdoor this spring. I may possibly switch these to bloom Sunday getting ready to water with some tea and usually get 4 -6” in growth damn ne’er overnight. That way I can try and get an ideas of bloom stretch in the area I’m working with. Give me a better idea of what to expect and see how it goes… I have some feminized seeds I bought I really want to start… LA cookies , Glue#4 and CandyLand not to mention I still have a couple seedlings that will be following this grow …2 dosi do , 2 blue cheese and 3 perma dream. 7/10 seeds started not bad odds but the 3 that didn’t make it were from the shells getting stuck Enough rambling for now. Happy Thanksgiving @repins12 and the rest of the group. Keep ya posted on how things go with many more pics.

@repins12. I fucked up last night and fell asleep without watering and one of the vents got closed and temp got to 90 !!! Couple these babies are not happy. Gonna have to figure out better way of venting tent and keeping temps down. My fan kicks ass…but if Intake is in the tent it draws hot air in and heats even more when passing through my light hood. Heats up quicker than current tent vents can recirculate new air in. If Intake is outside tent light hood is cooler but don’t have the air circulation from the negative air pressure or vacuum in tent and the tent still gets hot because the actual light heats up the air. My house stays lower in temps 60-65. I work outside year round As a landscape/hardscape foreman and plow truck driver and 2nd mechanic (23yrs wrenching ) in winter months. So I keep the house cooler . I May have to add a second fan for tent air exchange like a 4” duct fan and vent it outside as I did with the 6” duct fan I got cooling the light.

@BigJ. I have a separate 6" inline fan cooling my 1,000watt metal halide, will switch to hps when I get the others in the tent and in the flowering stage. I have an intake fan on one side ducted to my light hood then ducted to the wall at my basement stairwell. I then have another 6" inline fan connected to the vent that terminates in my stairwell. I can open the door and let the heat upstairs if and when I need a little extra heat. I have my carbon filter located on the exterior with a duct in the top of my tent. The 8" duct runs from my tent to the 8" fan sitting on top of the carbon filter located outside of the tent slightly elevated above the floor. I then have a 8" inline fan on the same side as the intake for my light hood only at the bottom of the tent. I covered both intakes with panty hose as a filter. I tried to keep as much equipment on the exterior of the tent as I could. The only things in my tent are the light fixture and 2 clip on fans and of course the flex duct and several adjustable pulley hangers. I live by the beginning of skyline drive and the fall and winter months are dry. I soon found that I had a problem with rh. Bought a big humidifier from Craigslist for $25 and now seem to have that under control somewhat. I also will be able to exhaust my light outside in the summer, I will put a 6" exhaust cover on the exterior wall and left enough flexible duct to be able to go from interior to exterior exhaust fairly easily. I hope that something that I have said helps. I’m at Mom’s until early tomorrow and I am outta here. If you want I can send you some pictures of my set up when I get home. I’m hoping that I don’t come home to a dilemma or disaster. I only have one plant in my tent right now. The 2 of the other 5 I planted are in another room under a couple of led light bulbs from Wally World. I hope that your plants recover. Were you able to get the temperature down?

In the beginning, I had my temps approaching 90 and even went a little over once or twice until I got this thing figured out. It still gets close once in a while, according to my sensor but, canopy temps are still in the low to mid 80’s according to my laser thermometer. I feel you brother, I fought the same battle and it’s a painus in the anus for sure. I think that I am close to having mine close to dialed in finally. Tomorrow will tell the story. My fingers are crossed for the both of us brother :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

@repins12 my fan goes through the light and vents out a window that I sealed up a 3/4 piece of plywood and a 6” stainless vent that is louvered and screened with downward spout. So what I did was flipped the fan around and started pulling outside air through the light and into the tent so far fan speed is controlling output temp. I sealed up the tent so that the air escapes through an upper 6” outlet hole With duct to the carbon filter that is sitting on top the tent so far so good running about 75 on 3 blower speed out of 9 , and with positive pressure it puffs sides out creating a little more room instead sucking in the sides reducing space
