First hydro in coco

Ive been growing for quite awhile now. Always indoor and Usually in soil where i have to water every 4 days or so. I got tired of dealing with all the extra work of watering so decided to go hydroponics. I am using coco coir with a 20 gallon reservoir for 4 plants (3 grandaddy purple and 1 super silver haze). Watered twice a day with no runoff. Each plant gets less then half a gallon per day. I flush plants every 2 weeks with a total of 30 gallons of pond water with a ppm of 135.
Grow room is a 5’7" by 4’11" with a phresh 8x24 inch carbon filter that exits into the crawl space under my house.
The lights are the ive had from the beginning. i build these lights with help from some friends here. They are quantum boards i bought from horticulture lighting and build frames myself. They still work amazing. I had 4 total but 1 started blinking and i havent tried fixing it yet. I just switched to flower last night. These plants have been in veg stage for 9 weeks. Ill update weekly for progress.

1 week of flower and they are stretching nicely. I had to lift a few to make them more level for the net. This is not a scrog. It is strictly to hold the buds up later in the cycle. Ive found that it is always necessary to do this. Ive had them split apart from weight and i end up losing out because i have to chop down 2 weeks early.
I do spread the plants out a bit and try to keep each plant as level as i can. EBO! Equal Bud Opportunity.
I would say evem though i have it set up as a hydroponics, im not completely sure if that is what im actually doing. I could very well be that im just using coco as a soil and watering twice a day. It isnt really necessary that i water that much. I can in fact let it go for a day and not water at all. The nutrients do build up quicker then in soil thats watered once every 4 days. Id try to cut back some on nutrients but im too far along and im out of weed. I dont want to mess this one up.

Start of week 3, i trimmed under carrage, raised a couple plants so they were more level with the others. Ppm out was tested at 1200-1500. I flushed each plant with about 4 gallons of pond water with a ppm 168. After flush the ppm draining out was between 300-500 ppm. Thats good enough for 2 more weeks. I refilled 20 gallon reservoir and put nutrients in at 1100 ppm. My PH floats around 5.8 -6.2. I check it every other day. I have had to adjust the timer for more warer as the plant have grown.

Very nice! Awesome that these lights are still powering out good harvests too!

Curious how you’re feeling about the semi frequent flushes? Most of us just feed to good amount of runoff in order to avoid this.

Looking solid in there!

Yes, they are the same lights and still going strong. I am hoping they last for many more grows too.
The flush isnt too much trouble, only because i have a pump from my pond to my grow room. I can just pump the water directly into the res tank. My bigger problem is that i have to use a shopvac to clear the water out when i flush. Its not set up to return to res or drain to waste. Im sure it would be easier on me but evolution takes me awhile when things are going well.
