This is my first rdwc grow and I’m thinking that maybe they are being over watered. My ph has been fine no problem there. Don’t know if I’ve got to much water in the system or not enough air or what. Need help
OK sounds good
Thanks for the tag brother.
@Krayzie30 if you don’t mind, tell me a little about your grow.
How many gal do you have in your system?
Do you have any pictures of your setup?
What kind of nutes are you using?
What order exactly are you mixing them in?
What’s the pH and ppms currently?
Are you using a chiller?
How does your roots look? (picture of roots)
What’s the temp of the water?
What’s the temp and rh of the grow room?
Is your water level 1.5” - 2” below the netpot?
Thanks!
They are 7.5 gallon containers i don’t know exactly how full i have them but i figured about 6gal in each one so 30 gal system and i do not have the water 1.5 to 2" below the net pots that might be my problem. Ppm 390, using Jack’s 321 at 25% strength and voodoo juice. No chiller. Water temp 72 to 74 keeps going up and
Up and down
I’ll wait on @HappyHydroGrower but what’s all that in the bottom of the bucket
You have to maintain an air gap of 1.5”-2” below the netpot once the roots show up.
No clear hoses. It will cause algae to grow. Get the black hose.
Also, cover your totes and netpots with reflectix from lowes.
Looks like you have root rot starting to set in. Your gonna have to keep your water temps down around 68’ish. With air stones blowing warm air inside the water, your lights in the grow room, water temps will also add to the algae growth.
In order to mix nutes, you have to know exactly how many gal of water you have in your system.
I would drop the voodoo juice for now till you get things straightened out. I don’t think it will run good with these nutes… I think
Jacks has everything you need.
I also have a rdwc system and run Jacks. I also use Armor Si and hydroguard.
Are you running any root inoculant (Hydroguard)… highly recommend it.
I think dropping your water level, cooling your water temp down, and you should run like a charm.
With each tote being 7.5 gal, dropping the water level down to where it should be, you’ll probably have about 17-20 gal total after all said and done.
Good luck and keep’em growin!
I think it’s like the dust off of the clay pebbles bc i had them soaking in another bucket of water and then just poured them and the water into the net pot when i was putting the seedling in it
Wash, rinse, wash, rinse and do it again. Can’t stress that enough.
No inoculate will that help prevent root rot
And what does armor si do
Root rot is caused by:
Water level too high.
Water temp too high
Light getting to the roots.
Hydroguard can only help so much. You have to do the rest, so yes hydroguard will help… a lot!
Armor si helps with cell wall development and bud structure. Highly recommended in hydro.
Cell wall development?
@Krayzie30 , Brother Happy got you covered
The cells within the plants stems and stalks.
Gotcha thanks man. I already went back there and lowered my water level and will definitely look into the hydroguard and armor si when i get some money
Just gotta get past Christmas before i will
