First Hydro Grow Plant Dying

I am currently at day 45 since they sprouted. Everything up until about a week ago has been going great. Then I made a mistake and put HOCL into my humidifier to clean it and it destroyed my leaves overnight. Unfortunately I had also just trimmed to mainline so the plants were already stressed and did not have much in the way of leaves.

Now one of the girls recovered just fine but the other has been struggling ever since with leaves that appear very dry and wrinkly with brown spots all over. Looking at her roots they are a bit yellow compared to the healthy plant as well.

With my set up I am able to maintain 77*F room temp, and humidity at whatever level I want. Currently targeting a VPD of 1.0. I am running RDWC and sterile using HOCL, side note I did forget to add any the week this all started. I have since shocked, flushed and changed nutrients.

Any Help would be appreciated.

What’s the pH of your water?

@Jojo_Brown based on those pics she’s still growing, I’d clip off those lower damaged leaves and keep an eye on your new growth. You may be fine from here.

Water level in bucket still looks high.

What is your water temp? TDS of solution? PH of solution? How much air?

PH was at 5.8, I bumped it up to 5.9 to give me some buffer room. For some reason I am having to add PH up and not down like normal. EC is at 2.1 and water temp in the days gets up to 73. Currently using a 7.8L air pump running 2 2x2 round air stones, thinking about upgrading to a 30L pump that is a bit quieter. I did shock the system a bit before I changed out nutrients yesterday. Been short on time but plan on picking up an r10 2in thick foam board tomorrow that I plan on using to insulate the top and provide me with some more air gap between the net pots and the reservoir. I think it may just be some stem/root ball rot from it being constantly wet but I really don’t know.

I also decided to just go ahead with the last trim for the mainline. Probably not the best idea with it stressed/sick but who knows. I also am going to pick up some soft wire as the clips I got really don’t fit to well to shape things.

Hope they pull through for you, yeah an 1 inch or more gap between bottom of net pot to top of water would be ideal

How close is your light? What kind of light?

@Syndrix

HLG350-R its about 24ish inches above the tops.
