This is my first grow and first harvest. I don’t want to blow it. The pistils are predominantly brown, but the trichomes still seem mostly white. The sugar leaves on the top buds have plenty of brown trichomes, but the very tips and all lower buds are still white.
So what are the hazards of early harvest? Smaller buds? The smoke will be more energetic and less relaxing? Samples indicate plenty of potency and an energetic feel.
I was given this plant and have no idea what strain it is. I’m in week 7 of an indoor bloom phase.

you have entered harvest window if trichs are mostly milky at any point now you could harvest most people wait for some amber which is higher CBD and more couch lock smoke but it is matter of taste so entirely up to you from here

I was given this plant in a 6" rock wool cube as a gift from a local dispensary. Unfortunately, I have no idea what strain it is. It is a bush, without a dominant stem. Does that tell us anything about its lineage?
I didn’t know there was a bud contest, but the seed was not ILGM anyway
The two pictures show the variability between different buds on the same plant. A couple have amber, most of the others are still mostly white. I’m cutting the buds as they show amber.

I see lots of amber when i zoom in your doing a great job give her that week
if your seeing alot of amber then i would start thinking of choping her down the more amber the more couch lock you get

When i zoomed in just that bud is id say 35% or more but thats most likely the top bud right? What do the rest look like
My girl in flower now has 50% amber on the main cola so im cutting just that cola off and giving rest of plant a week more to rippen up but i am aiming for couch lock this time lol:+1:
When mine were ready at the top the hole plant came down…lol
