Thanks mate. I really wasn’t sure if that would be an issue. But rather than take unneeded risks, I thought it best to do some training before I drop the net on.

you have enough canopy there for the net. Use it to space out tour tops, you can add another net for additional support and training later

Jeez, look at that canopy. Amazing looking . Going to get dark under there though so get ready to hoover up those dead leaves.

Nice full tent, just the way I like it!

Thanks mate. Really happy with the canopy. I can’t see the use in using two screens. Where is the benefit in the lower screen if I just grow through to get to the upper net anyway? I’ve built the net to handle a bit of weight.
What is the benefit of the lower net? It doesn’t seem to make sense - not doubting its use - I just cannot get my head around the logic.
I’m certainly not against it - this is the sort of input I need to get me thinking past the basics. :v: :sunglasses:

Yeah - there is not a lot of room to get the light through. I have been limiting any tidying of growth to the usual culprits. I have good airflow through the tent - and thought it smart to wait until Week 3 - that way I can maximise my little monster clones for the next run
At the moment they are healthy top to bottom - not seeing anything lacking or causing panic.
Loving the learn!
Today the 3 little tops will come out for their turn for a feed and stretch - really just letting them run - trying to encourage a little stretch - not too much though. :sunglasses: :v:

Thanks mate - that was always my intent.
In hindsight - I could have got the coverage from the big 3 - the 3 tops (bottom left quarter) were sort of an experiment on my first grow - testing my own ability and timing. I feel like that would have given me a better opportunity to get the most out of the net. Having the canopy so dense means that my tops can only really rise straight into the net - as my training in early veg spread them out already.
I am hoping the fuller tent will allow me to get more larger colas from 6 plants than from 3…
There is so much guesswork on a first run! But it will allow me to be a lot smarter on my second run.

Start of Day 4 flower. Less than 18hours since training. Not one left injured. Everyone sees the light!!! :sunglasses::+1:

Great sight isn’t it. Makes a father proud.

Oh it most certainly does @beardless!
It just makes me want to go in there and pinch n twist their little limbs…
I might actually do that as a daily thing for the next few days - just a couple at a time. I cant really tie them down any harder than they are now. That will be my prep for the screen.
That is the only downside of the horizontal grow that I have found - access to the underside is challenging with a full canopy. Not a bad problem to have though I guess… :v:

Budz, great job!
Think of cannabis plant as plastic and you can mould it any way you desire. If youbare having issues servicing the undersides of your canopy, why not begin the training higher up the stalk and remove the the lower branches. Remember you are the great designer. Practice on one plant, and do what you know on the others.

The access to the underside is only an issue because the main stem is tied hard - 1-2" above the pots. There isn’t a lot of leak growth - the stems sit low - by design - but now I am seeing the downside.
I am avoiding much heavy trimming yet - saving that for week 3 - because my next run will be all monsters
The original aim was to drop the net on and stitch it through - but my plants as they sit nearly fill the tent. So they can only go up - if that makes sense? :sunglasses: :v:

Thanks mate! It has been an absolute blast so far!
Insanely steep learning curve  as I have never grown anything before!
I just keep trying things at the moment - while keeping it simple.
Almost at SCROG time - it’s just deciding how best to use it… to guide or to stitch. But not sure I have the room to stitch - being that its almost full now.
There are so many people on here guiding and supporting - it’s incredible - and awesome.

I think I am about 30% through yours - been really interesting.

Thanks mate - appreciate it! :v:
I never thought I could grow anything!
Every day is a surprise. Strapped n for the stretch at the moment and getting ready to drop the net on top.

Definitely in this for the long run. I keep on coming up with things to try - I have handed out just about all these girls can handle - so they should be ready to rock the home stretch. That is the plan anyway!
Net management is spinning my head at the moment - how best to use it… guide or stitch… :v:
