First Grow! Indoor Feminized Photoperiod

Hi everyone!

First time grower, growing indoors. I’m European so all the measurements will be in metric xD Also english is not my first language so pardon me for any mistakes.

So, to begin, here’s my setup:

  • 0.8m x 0,8m x 1.80m grow tent
  • Led SMD Proton 240w Innotech ( it’s dimmable) with a spectrum of 380nm to 780nm and Samsung 2835 Plus + Red 660nm LEDs, said to be good for all growth stages
  • Intake fan (195m3/h)
  • Exhaust fan (190m3/h) but I’m about to switch it to a Garden HighPro TTMax 125mm (has 2 settings: 220m3/h and 280m3/h)
  • Primaklima K2600 Carbon Filter

I did a lot of research about growing before planting but not before buying the setup, it was a bit of an impulsive buy to be honest.

All around with the feminized photo seeds (bought like 10, total of 4 different strains) it cost me around 700 euros (just the lights were like 300).

I started by planting 2 Malibu Krush (Gelato x OG kush , 60% Indica) in soil (BAC light mix with blond and black peat, coconut, perlite, mycorrhiza and a light initial fertilizer) on a vase around the size of a solo cup.

I put them in wet soil on the 14th of October and kept them in a dark environment until one of them sprouted on the 17th! The other one never did (kept her there for like 14 days).

I actually turned on the lights on the 17th but it was before she sprouted (like 12h before) and then I kept her on a schedule of 18h/6h, the dim on 5/10% and around 80cm from the plant.

This was all probably too little since she started stretching… On the 21st I lowered the light to around 50cm from the plant.

On the 3rd of November the light was put on 25% and on the 7th (today) to 35% and it’s 45cm above the plant.

She was transplanted on the 28th of October to a vase of around 7-11 liters maybe. I know it might have been too early but her root was starting to peek off the bottom of the vase and darkening so I felt it was necessary. (probably because I put too little soil in the cup, only about half the height)

I may have overwatered her in the beginning but right now I think I’m doing it right and have been watering once every ⅔ days when the top of the soil where I water gets dry ( watering with about 50ml of bottled water with a pH of 6,9).

I started feeding her on the 2nd of November using Biobizz Root Juice and Bio-Grow, 0,5mL of each diluted in 1 L of 6,9ph bottled water. At the moment she has been fed 2 times (every time i water).

Temperatures have been between 20,5ºC and 25,1ºC (those are the max and min measured) and humidity between 42% and 73% (max and min also), but the average is about 60%. I kept a cut in half water bottle (33cl) as a dome until the plant didn’t fit inside.

Right now she’s starting her 4th week. I think she’s small for her age but I’m just happy she’s alive and growing xD Since it’s my first, I don’t have really high expectations and I’m keeping things simple.

The essay is done and I’m adding some pictures of my baby ^^

Thank you in advance for reading this very very very long text!

P.s: Not really sure how this grow journal works so sorry in advance if I misplace anything.

Hello!
I’m back to give a bit of a late uptate to how my girl is doing ^^

I upped the nutrients to 0,75ml root juice + 1,5ml bio grow in 1,5L of water. The solution ph is 6,9 and ppm meter shows 210 and EC 0,4 (I know it’s low but I’m kind of scared to up the nutrients too much )
Also want to note that I’m currently giving her around 250ml of the above solution every 3 days (the time it takes for the soil to dry).

The light is currently at 55% and 60cm from the plant.

Also started doing some low stress training! My goal right now is to make her kind of grow in a circle if you know what I mean?
I choose to do it this way because I’m not topping her, I think it would be too risky? for a 1st grow and also heard it can delay the grow a bit.

She has been growing nicely although I still think it’s a bit slow but maybe it’s just me being anxious to see her getting big and growing buds xD

Also think the new leafs are a bit dark around the edges but not going to stress about it until I see real problems.

There where like 3 days when the RH was about 30% but i couldn’t do anything about it. The humidifier I have is apparently shit (no surprises there, it cost me like 5 euros), tried the wet towels and buckets of water with a sponge inside. It eventually rose to the fifties but I don’t know if it was any of the above methods or just the humidity rising naturally (RH in my area was in the 40s and then upped to around 70 or more).

Oh and the new exhaust fan I mentioned from Garden HighPro arrived! It works very well.

Well I think that’s all for now, here are some recent pics
