Mine were grown 12/12 from seed FYI.
They’re definitely bushy enough to get a few clones from for sure. I mention this as it’s happened to me recently as I just harvested 2 clones from a “NL Auto” has produced a grand total of 28 oz 4 plants with another 6 new plants left. Look up @magnumpu post nl clone is a monster
Yes, i was told get your skills up and some experience growing because the best equipment can not make up for in experience. But i will upgrade the light if i get threw this grow drying curing to smoking! this is my first grow so i started with nothing, next time i will only need to upgrade the light! Thanks believe it or not that light was a step up from what i started this grow with.
That’s the way I went also. Just don’t get discouraged by your first grow. There is a steep learning curve and the light DOES make a big difference in yield.
So i should change from 18-6 to 12-12 both lights on?
At their size yes.
I think we’ve all been there with lights. Sorry to say. It will do what you want it to.
I’m going to look you up thanks again.
Ok i just switched to 12-12 also both lights on. I will keep a eye on the effects and will update at my week 7 post. Thanks
You’re welcome. Tag me if you need any advise.
Once you change the light schedule how long before they begin to flower? They were suppose to be auto’s but maybe they are photo fem
Usually takes 1 -2 weeks. You will see pistils/white hairs forming on the terminal bud.
@WickedAle 7 weeks from sprout 1 week at 12/12. They are suppose to be Autos but not sure any more.
i took them out for photos in natural light. I think they are looking good.Plants look great.
They looks great looks like some buttons starting to form on top. Won’t be long now. Did you take any clones?
@Midwestnewbie i didn’t, i should take clones now? I was thinking do it when i clear some of the bottom growth: also was thinking i should add the scrog net in a few more days. Any thoughts would be appreciated
If it were me I’d do just what you said. Clear some of the bottom and make a few clones. But I’d do soon so they don’t have to reveg.
@Midwestnewbie @WickedAle tonight when the lights come on i will clear bottom of the plants and take some clones. Should i also remove some of the top fan leafs to allow more light down into the canopy? Or thats too much at once? They have been growing much faster and thicker since i changed to 12/12 light schedule. Thanks for all the help
Personally I tuck the fan leaves as much as possible until later on in flower. That’s just my personal preference.
