First Grow: Autoflowers

vinaigrette an organic way to kill little flys. Take your little knife and cut a little holes in the top pour your vinegar in there you could use apple slices of done that before they get trapped in there and can’t get out.

I’ll also use Ziploc bags for pots. You cut both of the corners it makes transplanting so easy. You get your next pot ready basically cut the bottom of the bag . Put your plant in the pot with the bag pull it out is that easy. Not only that you can see how big your roots are. That’s called being on a budget

I’m all about being on a budget and using what you have. I don’t grow/eat organic but always try the ‘cleaner’ option when I can.

The ziplock is a neat trick. I will definitely try the vinaigrette. I’ve done nematodes and these mosquito bits. The gnat situation has gotten much better but every little bit will help.

It also kills those mites. I need one in every pot. Best for it to touch the stem of the plant. I have it’s a shop vacuum. Low power. It’s a cheap way. Out side before I have used 7th dust. 30 years ago. Using needles for cut worms.

I have had a few of those. I learned a trick from working in a Pizza restaurant. Someone else told me of other things to use. This is all I have for now and it’s not an infestation problem. But it will stop them. I have a cheap little mosquito light also. How do you start a post?

What size lights are those?

I think you have to complete a few tasks and be online a few times before you can create a post. I remember I couldn’t do it right away, it took a few days.

This is the light I got. It’s 240 watts. I know most would recommend something better than this.

What are you growing? Would love to see some pics.

got lucky with eight seeds.

I have no clue what kind. I know soon I’ll need to make a discussion on how many to keep and how big I need the ones that are females worth my time.

Look into hog’s they’re a little pricey but way better then those lights. They have a 65 v2 4000k for 100$ that’s been begging 4 of my plants pretty amazing and I’ve heard will flower just fine too. It’s not for a big space, but get 2 and you’d be fine if you have that money. Or get a bigger better respec from them.

I know what you mean. I had throw a few bag seeds around as little experiments, but they are all doing so well, I’m thinking of transplanting them and putting them into flower when my autos are done. The original plan was to run another batch of autoflowers.

For this first light, I wasn’t willing to invest in much. Once I can actually start spending less money each week on pot, I’ll have more set aside to upgrade. (counter productive, I know)

I expect to have this all harvested and packed up clean for the turn of the new year and will start again late January. I’ll be looking for upgrades then. So thanks for the suggestions! I take notes on lots of the things you experienced guys talk about.

They look great. Are you planning on training? I have one that I keep FIMing and pruning and I keep being amazed at how fast she recovers and fills back out. I figure no way I can mess it up since it’s just a random shake seed.

Im in the same boat as u. Up shit creek without a paddle til i got my own stuff and not spending mo ey on others stuff. Good thing for me my neighbor is i guess partners with me and is buying some new lights for ne to grow with and in return when he needs some smoke he just come grab dome. Fair deal to me seeing as how he is spending 1k on lights lol.

That sounds like a good deal. Especially if your neighbor is a light smoker.

I have e someone that wants to invest with me, but the deal isn’t good enough for me. That’s a sweet deal. My dude wants to go half on a light and get some of the yield, probably half. To me when I’m paying the electric, nutes, watering them and spending all my time with them making the plant food and stuff. And to lose a lot of yield, I’ll just save up and get the light myself. Only a 200$ light anyways. Gonna get the hlg 135 rspec once I get the money. I think that with my 65 v2 4000k will work pretty well for a while.

Yes same here. Got some Friday. Takes two days for it to dry out. Money is tight here also. Not working as much. But I keep my son at home.
