First grow and journal Mulegal here

Cerritos is in SoCal.

@Myfriendis410, @raustin, @highcountrygal, @Rugar89, @Powaforce, @Flyr, @Countryboyjvd1971, @neckNflu, @Covertgrower, @bob31 and anyone I may have missed

I feel like the grow has Really begun!

So I transplanted my 2 week old Amnesia Haze Auto yesterday into 5 gallon pot. Mixed up some magic dirt organic potting soil and some of my own compost…see pic

Here she is immediately after transplant

And these were taken this morning. I am feeling quite good about how she’s going and growing.

Looking good!

Excellent :ok_man: :cowboy_hat_face:

Looking good! Nice job!

Looking beautiful!

Like she didn’t even notice she was transplanted! She’s looking really happy!

Whoo Hoo!!! Got some pretty girls popping their heads out!!!

Your chicken appears to be just as inquisitive as mine when it comes to something I have in my hand. As plump and fat as they look, mine still runs after me hoping for food.

Everything is looking good. I’m looking forward to seeing how large they get being an outside grow. @mulegal

@mulegal AAhhhh your finger is getting greener! Attention!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. Fun stuff!

Yes @Flyr, my chubby hens are somewhat spoiled, but they sure are dear.

And @Covertgrower, I am wondering how big she’ll get outdoors also. Originally was planning on a 3 gallon pot , but @raustin suggested using a 5. I think that was a good idea. :grinning:

I’ll try to update weekly now unless I think something warrants attention, or she looks especially nice…hahahaha

Ahhhhhh greener finger…is the thumb next?? @highcountrygal

I swear she likes my attention and pretty sure she likes music. Seemed to vibrate along with JJ Cale this afternoon.

Thanks again everyone.

Good looking girls! I’m planning my first outdoor grow this summer. Got at least two more months before it’s safe to plant so I envy you with your already warm, sunny yard!

@Loneviking Thank you! Never in my wildest pipe dreams did I ever. You are going to love growing outside, sit back and enjoy the ride, I learned something new every day. It’s magical, it makes your heart beat for joy and pride and accomplishment and the best is to take your first toke off of your very own. Come by to my grow journal ‘Come Grow with me by HCG’ and check out my last summers grow and harvest. Happy and prosperous growing, friend! :woman_farmer:t4:

Forecast is for a cold front coming through next week. 25’ at night and 50’s daytime. Brrrrrr. My girl will have to make due under lights indoors…if only I had a greenhouse at least for the days…hmmmmmm

@Loneviking this is new to me, and for me it is outdoors or no grow…hahahaha Spring is a coming for all of us right along. Time to plan, dream and get things lined out.

You don’t need a Greenhouse if you have a place inside for her. A florescent grow lamp, maybe a blackout curtain to hide her behind and she’ll do fine.

Yes I started her under lights in the house. She just seems so happy outside.

50 degree days would be too cold I think without some protection . I have plans in my head for a cold frame. Maybe I’ll fabricate tomorrow and if it comes together, try her in there one day if it is sunny.

@highcountrygal, @Myfriendis410, @raustin, @FreakyDeekie, @Loneviking, @Flyr,

Finished up my little cold frame this morning. Once the sun warmed things up, I moved my girl into her new digs.

It’s not square and true…but it’ll get the job done and was all materials at hand…no $$$$

It built up heat pretty quick, so good I left the sides and top removable. With front and top in place, and sides removed it kept her cozy and not wind whipped or cooked. She’s back inside for the night. She grew 1/2" outside today!! hahahahaha. I’m gonna have to raise the lights
