First Grow Amnesia Haze

So my 3 seeds all sprouted of Amnesia Haze on 2/1/2024. They are currently 19 days old today.I have a Mars Hydro 4x4 Tent with the Mars Hydro FC4800 Evo light. I have them under right around 300 par with light away from plants at about 28 inches. Temp. 77 and RH - 60%. I have 2 fans running for circulation and a heater and humidifier to keep conditions as stable as possible. One plant is a little smaller than the other 2 but is catching up.

Couple questions. The 2 bigger plants are currently forming their 5th node. 1. When should I top? and 2. The spacing between nodes is very small. Minimal stretching but plants seem healthy. Is this ok? Provided a few pics.

I started these plants in solo cups with a 50/50 mix FF Happy Frog on top and lower 505 FF Ocean Forest. On day 14 I transplanted them to 1 gallon fabric pots. They did not skip a beat after the transplant. The 1-gallon fabric pots have all FF Ocean forest soil. The question
is when do I need to start with the FOX farm trio seeing Ocean Forest has nutrients in it already?

Welcome aboard @fernalfer :slightly_smiling_face:
Usually you will get three to four weeks of nutes out of new FF soils. They should be good for a while. Looking absolutely beautiful btw. Good luck! Folks here are great for advice and support.

Welcome. This is a great community. Awesome people.
Tight node spacing indicates lights may be a bit too close. If you are wanting to do much training id try to get those to extend a little. For topping, if its a photoperiod you could wait for it to get bigger first. Train it as long as you want to get her growing and developing just the way you want. If it’s an auto, topping is not recommended as the vegetative duration is not long enough for them to recover and play catch up before buds start forming. I have had good luck with fimming though. As your girls get bigger, longer branches can be tied down to the side of your pots. This will help spread them out allowing more light and airflow to reach the center and along the whole branch. Good luck. Dont hesitate to ask any questions you might have. Everyone loves helping each other.

DAY 21 and i have a few questiions for anyone willing to provide some advice. I provided current pics of the ladies and was wondering:

  1. Does the plant look healthy and does it matter the leaf color looks more faded towards the bottom?

  2. Looking at the pics they seem happy. Was wondering whether i should water.or not? I hear people say if they dont look droopy they don’t need warer. Just concerned because I transplanted them on Day 14 with pre soaked soil. Today has been 7 days without water.

Thank in advance.

Agreed. Very happy looking.
If you lift up the pot with the plant does it feel light? If so water. If you can’t tell, if you put your finger in the top of the soil past the second joint and it feels dry time to water. Usually every two or three days depending on grow conditions. When they get bigger they’ll drink a lot more. Looking great!

They look good…not too unusual to go that long after a transplant, Some of the pics look like the soil is just starting to dry on top…I’ll bet you water tomorrow. Are they still heavy?

Anybody have any idea what par i should be around? Currently the light is 27 inches above the plant at 275 par per Apogee par meter.

DAY 25 since emerging from dirt. Couple questions: At what node do you guys top your plants?

Also what Par is good for this stage? Light is a Mars Hydro 4800evo 27 inches above top of plants.

And lastly when do most start in there head the vegatation stage?

Looking good. I top above the 5th node as long as the plant is at least 6" tall.

In early veg (for me 2-3 nodes starts veg,) id recommend around 300 ppfd, working your intensity up to around 600 ppfd by the time you hit transition. Looks like you are right on track. In flower you should aim for 600-1000. Some plants can handle more. You’ll have to rely on the appearance of the plant at that time. You want this to be a gradual change also. I like to let plants grow into the lights and adjust up when I need to. After 5-6 weeks when most of the bulking comes to an end you will want to drop your intensity. I usually drop between 600-700 ppfd. This isn’t always true, some strains might take longer so instead of 5-6 it could be 7-8… the more you grow the more you develop an eye for those indicators.

Thanks alot for the info. Im at 360 par now about 20 inches from light and slowing going to ramp it up.

DAY 30 from breaking soil. Plants still chugging along. Watering every 3 days now with Rodi water, silica, CalMag and Black Strap Molasses into Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil.

DAY 33 - Plants are still growing good. Have not added any nutrients yet because they are in Fox Farm Ocean Gorest soil. Not sure if i should start pruining a little for better light penetration? I already topped 2 of the plants.
