So, another rough couple of days watching this rough start. Firstly I have been waiting on lights from LEDGrowShop.eu, and been going back and forth with customer service… I’ve finally reached a zen place and I’ll accept what I get from them… I’ve cancelled two light orders already so I’ll see what arrives in a few weeks.
Nest is the weather… still cool, around 60F, and cloudy and windy. The one thing we did do is keep them out of the rain. But that means they are WAY behind schedule for the quality of grows I see on this forum. But they’re looking green and strong, so I’m settled in to watch.
The leader is Bernard, he’s tallest, widest, and has the strongest showing of those next layers of growth.
Finally, Dolores. More drama there… a certain toddler got his little grabbers on the one leaf faster than we could pull him away. Happy to see he’s eager, but we’ll wait a few years for that conversation. . Anyways they’ll be out of reach when the light arrives.
Thanks for sharing. I tried a few more searches… nothing online. But then I don’t speak Dutch and my French is only a half-step better than terrible.
Specialty shops open up on Monday so I’ll see what I can find.
Good news is the lights are in transit! I’ll be able to put them in the space in the garage from Monday on. I have a tracking number now so I’m getting really excited to stop moving them all over the backyard to follow the sun…
Lights are not illegal. I don’t know the law there, but if they even asked me, I’d tell them “not that it’s any of your damned business, but I’m building an indoor garden for my own security.” But I’m sure it’s just held back to make more room on the trucks for things like masks/PPE, etc. Don’t sweat it! It’s an exciting time, and your positive attitude is your best growing tool, don’t lose that! Be patient and see what’s what before panicking.
I wonder if I should be concerned about the crinkling leaves here?? I have been hyper conservative on watering the (I think), but it still looks like what I see when people are warned not to water too much.
Both pots with the crinkles are moist about a half an inches below the surface…
Outside of your pot not having any way to allow moisture out the bottom or the roots not being able to get any oxygen, its extremely difficult to over water a plant in a single application. Giving it too much water before allowing soil to dry out any is another story.
