First grow. 5 bag seeds of unknown origin

Gotcha. Any reason to put a 1 way check valve on that duct so there is no back flow when the fan is off?

Hmmm! Never thought about that one…

To be honest, you really don’t want the fan to ever be totally off to begin with. You always want good fresh air being pulled in. Kind of goes hand in hand with venting the air outside. If the fan is off, then air will only be able to escape through the intake, and whatever bit manages to make it THROUGH the carbon filter (if applicable) and make it all the way outside, which won’t be much… I personally would just have the fan go to a low speed when temps are low enough.

I could do that. Was just thinking heat/AC wise I may be pumping a lot air out to the outside while my AC is trying to push cold air in. Maybe thinking too far into it. Just feel like I’m fighting each other at that point.

My building is probably a month out from delivery. Then I have to wire lights and outlets and an AC unit. I think I go up to maybe a 5 gallon pot maybe even bucket? Also get rid of the kiddie pool and use actual pot holders.

I feel like I JUST watered these things a day or 2 ago and they are dry as can be today!

Thinking too far into it. I do that too! Your equipment looks great. Space looks good… and like dank said if you run out of space you can super crop. That’s my plan. I may actually make modified cross bars that will buy me another 3-4" of light clearance.

This answer isn’t coming from experience, but if you veg longer I’d think bigger pots. 3 gallon isn’t very big. If for no other reason than the amount they drink increases and you’ll end up watering way more.

Smart pots(fabric) or buckets? Does it really matter as long as I can check run off I should be good right?

Here is how I do it: germinate in cup of water for 24ish hours. Usually has a taproot at that point. Plant in Happy Frog in a Solo cup with slits at the bottom for drainage. Transplant into 3 gal hard pot. Then final transplant into 5 or 7 gal fabric pot. Using a fabric pot at the ‘inbetween’ stage make it more difficult to transplant since it is fabric and doesn’t hold form very well.

Stepping up pot size like this makes it easier to water as the plant is better proportioned to the pot. It also promotes better root growth.

Time to transplant. That means there is so much roots that it just gets sucked up so quick lol.

Dang lol. Think 5 gallon should be enough? Plan on veg another month or so. Then switch over to flower.

Hmm… That I’m not so sure about… Maybe do 7 to be on the safe side. Not sure :man_shrugging:
Gotta think measure out how many 7 gallon pots you can get in there too.

Edit: Yeah maybe do 7 since they are already root bound, going to 5 might not be big enough of a pot to last through the whole rest of the grow since you want to veg longer.

That one’s beyond me too. I’m not planning to go above my 5 gal on this throw.

Awesome so ordered my 7 gal pots. Went ahead and got a trellis net, drip pans so I can get out of that kiddie pool. Also got a cheap Amazon tds meter as I was advised the tds meters are still good. We will see. Haven’t added any nutrients and probably won’t now that I’m transplanting again. I’ll pick up another bag of ffof and that should have the nutrients to last me into my first week or so of flower I would think.

Yup! New Girls will be bonsai sized. Going to be a challenge for sure! Feel free to follow!

Yes indeed. I’m switching to flower as soon as my new light gets here. Mines a little bit of a circus. I am loving it though.

Send me the links to both of your grows. Can’t seem to find them now. @Dankloud @Underthestairs

This is my grow with the big girl. She has unfortunately had a rough time with nutrient burn and light burn. Story goes I planted a bag seed. It actually did REALLY well. I topped it. Did LST with it. It looked fantastic. Then figured out it was a male :frowning: Hindsight I should’ve known it was a male a LONG TIME before I finally asked on the forum to know for sure. Then @MaD-VapoR hooked me up with a Cherry Pie seed that I ended up killing… I was trying to keep the soil too moist because I felt like the humidity in my tent was low. Then he gave me a White Widow Autoflower seed, and that is what is featured in this journal.

This is the last remaining picture of the male plant.

Here is the bonsai grow I just started. Blueberry Feminized Photoperiod seed.

I haven’t played around enough to figure that out . Technology isn’t generally my friend. If you click my avatar you should be able to go to topics, but I’ll play around and see what I can pull off.

Grow 2 - out from under that stairs

Edit… they make it really easy.
