First go at DWC seedling growth

These two popped out of the rockwool a week ago and I put them into there buckets. Neither of them have changed much in this time with the exception of alittle stretching so I upped the lighting slightly. Is this normal for DWC with auto flowers?

PH of res. Is 6
Water level is a couple inches below net pot.
Not concerned with this one as much as the other.

PH of res. Is alittle higher at about 6.2
Water level a couple inches below net pot.
More concerned with how this one is doing.

Make sure you water and fertilize regularly each day for a couple of weeks. They need the nutrients to develop roots and leaves. Once their roots hit the water and nutrients below they are fine and will take off but the first week or two is usually slow for all plants because the seedling is trying to build up enough energy to grow its first true leaves and send its tap root down. Once it has true leaves and the tap root has hit the nutrients, they take off. Your plants have a set of cotyledons and 1 set of true leaves.

Seedlings need 8 hours of darkness so make sure it gets to bed early and has a good night sleep. After 3-4 weeks you can increase the day length if you like.

I like to fertilize seed raising mix (rock wool cubes) before and after the seeds are sewn so there is nutrients available as soon as they sprout.

So what I’m hearing is it’s normal for them to have a slow start (1-2) weeks until the tap root reaches the water/nutes. Should I use a spray bottle and top feed them until their roots reach the water?

When growing in Coco Puffs how often do you have to replace the Coco Puffs? I find this to be very inexpensive as my food stamps will pay for it
