No she’s been the one over had issues with and, they both are on the same watering schedule so I just thought it might be a bum seedling but she wants to grow that’s why I haven’t thrown in the towel with her. I’m running distilled water, no nutes yet, and she has/kinda still has wavy leaves. My light is set where it needs to be. Still trying to figure out how to identify veg so I can switch it to veg lighting.
What do you mean identify veg?
This is my first grow so I’m learning as I go. The light I have has 2 switches one for germination/seedling and another for veg and bloom. I thought maybe my slower one was in some sort of light definciancy because I only have one light for now (trying to keep a budget) but I know I’m going to need one. But at what point do I identify and say ok, these are in veg state and amp up the lighting?
Looks to be going great!
I would run both switches now
When you flip flower you should consider better lights. We can make some lower cost/bit EFFICIENT LED recommendations. Leave both switches on and you will get more intensity for veg.
Have a small low cam fan, I am running the filter/exhaust fan as well 24/7 and since these are autos I haven’t been too concerned with lighting schedule but think I am. Ordered a light timer and soil moisture meter. Temps have been consistently 72-75 and humidity between 50-55%
Counterintuitive, but autos do great at 12/12. They really get large with the schedule.
I wouldn’t run your carbon filter until they start to stink. Plus, the higher humidity during your seedling/veg stage will do a number on your filter. My auto light schedule was 24/7 for first week, and then I went to 16/8 until both plants got into flower. At that point I went 12/12. I will concur that my plants LOVE their dark cycle.
Man I appreciate y’alls feedback. Now with the filter not running, are there any circulation considerations? Or just burp the grow tent to get fresh air in?
How would I start to go about that?
Well you can run an exhaust fan without the filter if you don’t want stagnant air.
You would just open up a vent port at the bottom of your tent to allow air from the room to come in.
It is adjustable so I’ve kept it on the lowest setting. Just to have some circulation but I don’t want it to ruin the filter if you think it might I may just run a smaller fan close to the inlet
It doesnt ruin it per say. It just used it up faster with the higher humidity.
Makes sense.
Just use a timer for 12/12. I only start my fan when I can smell the plants. Initially I run when lights are on, but later when they are getting juicy 24/7 is required.
Unless your having to move alot of air to keep the tent cool you really shouldn’t need to have an intake fan…yet. Just your exhaust fan without the filter on it to keep the air fresh. Your tent should have a screen at the bottom you can open up to allow air to be pulled in.
It does. I have had it open since I started, but I will pull the filter and soon as my light timer gets here I will start them on a schedule. MUCH APPRECIATED for all the info/feedback. I’ll post updates next week for sure! Thanks again all.
